I want to point out to lads also that the defensive winger doesn't need to be particularly useful defensively , rather just have decent workrate and high technical attributes (simular to a traditional winger) for instance I have used Bilal El Khannous on my besiktas save and he performs amazing.

In my save he is incredible. Signed for 22 million for spurs as Son's understudy; grew into a world class striker with 17 finishing, incredibly acceleration, decisions, dribbling, anticipation etc worth 120 million. I think the lack of first team appearances really stunted him, plus relatively lower range- but at his best he can become incredible. He reached 40 goals in the 4th year of my save

As bad as his tactics are it’s tournament tactics, it would get a league team relegated 😂

Southgate's Euro 2024 tactic was probably best modeled as a 4-2-3-1 with an IFB(d) on the right side. There is no way Kane was an AF(a) either. He played way too deep for that. Rice was a conventional DM or DLP, not a HB. The Positive mentality with be more expressive instruction is essentially the opposite of Southgate's approach. I'm convinced that whoever created this tactic didn't watch the Euros.

Nice one. Best thing about this tactic is that you don't need to endure wildly inconcistent AML/AMR performances and ratings. The game is much kinder to AMCs with ratings. Also, the central front four prevents weaker AI teams from passing endlessly between their CDs and DMs.

32311 with a positive/attacking mentality... No Nonse CB, 2 WCB, a DM and a DLP both with defensive role, 2 Wingers and a BWM, Shadow Striker and a Poacher... we let in, but we score more normally!

You need rather specific players for these roles. Not every CB can do a good job when tasked to play as a Libero, the same counts for roaming playmakers or deeplying forwards. Liverpool players can do it all in their positions but Ipswich players are probably just overwhelmed by these new tasks they have to fulfill.

I’ve won a lot with a formation very similar to this. Instead of wide IFs I have 2 AMs and CM instead of a DM. Surprisingly good despite how narrow it is.
