What happens if I use a custom sql data base that joins several different data sources in desktop and I need to use that same data base in pulse? Should I publish the data source? Can pulse handle custom sql queries?

I have a fairly simple request to summarize data by upcoming events, approved events, and events waiting for approval. Goal is show on a dashboard but also export to a PDF for distribution. Exporting to PDF is a pain.

I can't wait to try this, the hardest part of tableau is making what you want to see to make it happen.
