Why using Fruity Send instead of routing it direclty to the Mixer Channels? I dont see any advantage or am i totally blind?
@SynthDesigner5 сағат бұрын
Ya, someone commented this before. There is no fundamental difference as far as I can see. This was just one way I did it.
@ThatSkiFreakКүн бұрын
ive been realizing this slowly recently lol, although i dont know what all the nobs do on these synth plugins so it's kinda hard. Also the reason i am using presets is because I don't want to take the time to become a synth plugin expert at the moment, since I'm choosing to struggle with i guess the composing/arrangement side of things right now and am very new to this stuff. Also because I'm new I don't have serum, I have vital and the fl studio trial version synths, been using kepler and kepler exo recently in particular. Also earlier today I was using your starting a chillsynth track guide and making a song and then fl studio crashed when I added vital to the channel rack and that was kinda brutal :(. We go agane i guess.
@SynthDesignerКүн бұрын
No issues with using presets! Everyone does it. You have to learn at your own pace. I have plenty of sound design videos to help there as well, but I wanted to show people how easily things can be adapted with just a bit of knowledge. Sorry to hear about your DAW issues, hopefully it won't crash anymore. Remember to save your work often!

@@SynthDesigner yeah so the thing is since im using the fl demo I can’t open saved projects lol. Pretty sure I have auto save on but I can’t use it so haven’t bothered to look at that

@@SynthDesigner I also find it really hard to locate presets that fit what I'm doing, whether built in ones for the plugin im using or otherwise. Are there other preset banks for chillsynth for free plugins besides your unfinished ones you mentioned in another reply to me?
@SynthDesigner12 сағат бұрын
Unfortunately I don't know of any. A good exercise might be trying to copy some of the ones you see/hear in Vital. See what makes them sound the way they do.

do you have vital versions of the chillsynth presets?

Does the sidechain on that kickstart plugin sidechain from all of the other sounds in the song or did I miss where you set that up? What is the purpose of using something like that instead of using fl studio's linked controls in the mixer? anyway thanks for this its very helpful :)
@SynthDesigner2 күн бұрын
You can just put it right on the mixer track of your choice rather than linking it. Just an easier way to sidechain but you can always do it the traditional way.

oh wow. thank you so much. i've been looking for how to create m1 organ sound and i thought that was fm synthesis. turns out you get that feeling even with two sine waves 7st apart. microfreak does not allow to layer sine and square, but it does allow to detune the oscillators

I mean, vaporwave is sample-based with heavy reverb, stretch and depending on the sub genre (like dreampunk or slushwave) heavy phaser and flanger use with a lot of saturation

Genuinely helpful, thank you. I really struggle in my early starts of music production and my biggest issue is in finding the potential in sounds. I've trashed stacks of projects, feeling like I'm wasting my time, only to hear something else similar in a released production and I can't work out why I didn't like it when I was working on things. Drum & Bass is my tipple, and the darker stuff. I also tutorials mostly cover liquid or jungle, so they don't quite tap into what I'm trying.
