Nice work and explained very well in depth, I'm going to give it a try, I should have made this tool sharpener long ago, I've been sawing over 25 years now, thanks for sharing.

It would have been good if you had shown the grinder wheel and cam going round in the same shot when making the cam profile. Thanks

Thanks for this video I have just built one and it works good. But it took me 50 times longer to build than it took you. Thanks its the best video on youtube. There are many rubbish videos being posted. This is the best. Thanks again

Very well done! Informative, concise, knowledgeable, good camera angles and just the right amount of detail. I was able to pause, go right to Amazon and add to cart as I watched. I'm starting my build today thanks to you. I watched several others and you we by far the best. Thanks brother! My pile of band saw blades will thank you as well!

Thanks man! I have built one similar to this .. differences are 30rpm synchronous motor and the motor mount that bolted to the deck qith slots for moving the motor assembly back for profiling a different cam (I have 3 cams working and a 3th yet to do. Cams are for: woodmizer 10/30 (most used), woodmizer 737 10*, 1" wide 3/4" spacing Lenox profile, and last one for my blade collection will be for Ripper37s.

I made some thing same after watching your video, the placement and orientation of the components is same as I see in the video. I watched the video so many times it is now memorised by heart. There was a big disappointment when I tried my first blade, you know I had to turn the blade inside out and do the same after sharpening. It was an excellent job done. Then I thought that if I had made it all in opposite I would not have to turn the blade inside out, my bandsaw upright column is on the left side very very common orientation. Want to know more about this but I am happy with this blade turning exercise since I am getting such good sharp blades. Thanks for the good design and detailed explanation of the cam making which is the heart of the machine. God bless you for spreading your knowledge and knowhow. Best wishes and regards.

Hey man! you did a great job. when you see the price here in France for a sharpening,It gives you the opportunity of saving money. Here, one sharpening cost 28 Euros...and one blade cost about 75 Euros. You sharp it three times and you can buy a new blade or something else. And as we say in the south of France :" tu t'es pas levé un cul pour rien!!" Encore Bravo, I run to my workshop to manufacture my own machine. Thank you very much "In net we trust!!!" .

Stopped on this. . Ingenious design and great demonstration. Looking for a way to do smaller bandsaw blades for my bandsaw. Your way shows sharpening the gullet and the rake, (?) don't have a metal shop but learned the process. Thanks!

Some pro tips! 1st. you don't have enough head tilt! Increase it even more! 2nd. The pusher starts pushing too early. He slowed it down a little more, only a little later to start thrusting. the 3rd. A true technically competently designed grinding machine always works with two pushers! With one pusher you accumulate error! After 3-4-5 sharpenings of the band it will mess up the pitch of the teeth and the teeth will be different heights and the band will stop cutting! the 4th. At the back of the hinge, try to install small bearings, because there are probably bushings and there is play in them! This loofah will lose the front corner of your tooth! I'm using google translate and some words will be confusing, but you'll get the point :) :)

@@MrTate1970 For the money, what it has done is really good. I just give him guidance if he has the desire and time how to further improve his machine. I have watched the whole video from end to end and I loved it. That's why I decided to write a comment with my advice. I love his video, don't get me wrong!
