Walter the hidden 2nd best bad ass in the series, second only to Alucard (Dracula). Luke was a none entity in the battle and so easily forgettable.

In 2017 I never really knew that they did an original Hellsing back in 2001. It's cool to really see how far the series visuals came to looking much more intense in Ultimate. Especially with VAs reprising their role and scene for the characters.

I bit sad that, the anime and the OVA don’t follow in the manga. I know the anime follows up the manga because the manga wasn’t finished, they have to make up something, and the same with the OVA it follows the manga but not fully. I hope someone remakes Hellsing the following the manga and every detail.

Is it weird that I actually prefer this scene in the older hellsing to the new version in hellsing ultimate? I just find the music a lot better and its unnerving sound kind of makes it feel like you are luke valentine here.

i've read the manga, watched ultimate, and watched 2001 and honestly i think 2001 is the better anime. yeah ultimate follows the manga ig, but there's scenes added just to sexualize seras in ultimate that aren't existent in the manga, the animation isn't as good as 2001, the vibes and music aren't as good. 2001 has the soul of hellsing, and ultimate kinda just feels like any other anime to me, and i'm not someone who enjoys most anime. plus the scenes in 2001 directly adapted from the manga do a better job than ultimate, the perfect anime imo would be a 2001 styled ultimate, yasushii ishis music, extra scenes, the vibes, everything. ultimate also feels too fast, 2001 is so much flower paced and it just oozes this amazing style and vibe. the animation in 2001 is fucking beautiful too. also i just don't like ultimates artstyle in comparison to the manga or 2001 at all.

6:24 >gets entire leg shot off “ah! please make it stop” 😂 I saw Hellsing long ago and loved it, I think I always assumed HS and HS Ult were the exact same except ultimate just updated the video quality and some small special effects. I started watching Hellsing Ultimate yesterday and gosh I was so wrong. This scene is amazing in Ultimate. I like the aesthetics and grit of the original a bit more but it’s not a big deal, Ultimate does it even better
