THEY MUST NOT HAVE STOP LIGHTS ON 169. GOING THRU TOWN IS TO SLOW DOWN. MAYBE NOT ANY MORE..

I suspect the setbacks and flyway barriers requirements alone are enough to disqualify the vast majority of lots within Saint Peter to keep bees. But, it is nice to see there is set of regulations to allow for it in a responsible manner.

Thank you to Keri for asking where these housing dollars come from, and Todd for explaining. I talked to SWMHP when I purchased my house in December to make sure it was within our range. SWMHP homes are still a bit unaffordable for starter homes when they're coming in at 200k+ at current interest rates, at least for total household income under 100k/yr workforce level housing. (But, that may just be anecdotal. Other people may be just better prepared than I am/was.) That doesn't mean I'm unhappy about their work, I'm very thankful for their help and they did an amazing job explaining, and helping inform me about how to move my purchase move forward. Thank you to city council for taking such a thorough and thoughtful approach to the housing needs of city residents.

Are we finally going to get a roundabout at washington and broadway? I've been making offhand remarks about that for years. Hell yeah!

I respectfully disagree that it is soldiers who have PROVIDED us citizens with our freedom. It is our Constitution and our own vigilance and work to enlarge the number of us who enjoy those freedoms. A former resident of St Peter

On the sidewalk/apron thing, I hope you all remember how the properry owners aren't generally asking for sidewalks. The city comes and says they are putting it in and the property owner has to just say ok to paying 3000. That's a lot of money that people would have to save up for if they wanted to buy something for 3000. And then to charge interest? Oof. I just saw some statistic somewhere about over half of Americans not being able to afford an extra 400 bill- no savings, no credit. That's the state of our communities. So essentially you are daying to a person who worked their butt off to get a house and be responsible, haha- we can assess your taxes now for whatever we want. Hmm. I know its not that simple. But be sure to see things from all the views when you are making these decisions and messing with people's money- especially ones who are being responsible with their rights to work. I wasnt there for the sidewalk conversations initially, just heard this one meeting. Thanks for considering. Now that im back in St Peter I will try to be more involved in these things too, love the opportunity.

Glad the sales tax option can go on the ballot. Will truly help spread the cost over a larger group of people! Now to get the word out why an additional tax is a good thing.

Wow! Cannot say much more than that. Job well done Bob Lambert. If it were not for people like yourself, we would not have a flag to say The Pledge of Allegiance. Take note, thank our Veterans and God Bless America! 🇱🇷

Thank you to the League of Women Voters, Saint Peter Herald, and Saint Peter Chamber of Commerce for hosting this event! *I want to offer a correction regarding the Greater Mankato Diversity Council question that was asked: GMDC trains facilitators in a K-12 program (not 1-8), and Mankato has incorporated the whole program into their schools. Saint Peter has only funded 1st grade AND 8th grade (not 1st through 8th). The original question submitted asked if candidates would advocate for the full K-12 curriculum in Saint Peter schools.

On the comments to freezing pipes. It's sad to know that we are responsible for the water costs. I've heard other communities comparing water usage from the past year and charging based on that. Others yet are charging based on an average monthy usage during these months were residents are being told to run water. Is this at all a possibility? I understand it the cost of running water versus the cost of repairing frozen pipes. But water in this town is expensive and only going up. I understand some other communities might be in a better financial state to offer this, but it never hurts to ask. Thanks for any feedback.

You make a comment about the recycling cans being the same size as our old cans. We actually had a larger recycling can than our trash can. Our garbage is the same size but the recycling has gotten smaller. Is ther any way to actually get the same size recycling can we use to have?
