Loved your battle with the grey big four took him several times on the corners then he'd always come back on the straight! Great video memories of my 89 KR1

Nice ride chap. That's exactly what mine used to do, jump out of gear, think it was 4th and 5th. Long time ago. Your making the big bikes look stupid on the corners. 👍👍👍👍
@peekay6914 жыл бұрын
great video. A pure exmple of wobblers on fast bikes.... They're gunning it down the straights and wobbling around corners. Looks like you're carrying one decent corner speed. Have played at Cadwell myself on a Gixxer 600 so know what its lie to take some scalps :)

Nice riding, What power does the sp make? Looking at getting a 3xv but apparently they are restricted to 45 bhp.

Went from cambridge to Wembley arena on back of a kr1s in 93, fook my arse hurt by time I got there, I was only 16,skinny as a rake so I didn't weigh much, that thing was hard to stay on the back of when opened up through 2nd and 3rd and 4th. Fun looking back though lol.

Hi thanks for the comment! The bike is far from standard, TZ pistons, flowed crankcases, slight porting, altered heads, daytona pipes from Japan, Sugo kit airboxes and a zeeltronic ignition. Puts out upwards of 65bhp depending on the dyno used

Great video. loving the 2 strokes. here in the middle east you just made to brit ex pats smile. Is the bike standard ?

That was me going for another gear. Thinking I was in 5th. I did get the clutch in, just couldn't keep it upright on the wet grass. The damage was already done at the start of Park straight. The engine note had changed compared to the previous lap. Jetting was good, just cocked up with the fuel tap. Live and learn and all that.

12:59 did you not feel that miss? pre warning. shame you couldn't get the clutch in and coast round or was it not possible?

my fav track on my kr1s ive had from new, i ended up in the fast group, after years of practise, the med group was just to slow in the end.. its a great 250 track. so is donington and short brands. i use avon am22 am23 makes the bike taller but you got to drop a tooth on the front sprocket and raise the front mudguard old school proddy race tyres sticks like shit to a blanket even in the wet. plus gutted og pipes and cut airbox. pro2 oil and octaine booster. nippo plugs. polished exhaust ports and valves. now im riding rat gsxr cafe racer and the kr1s is in need of some tlc in the shed... best i sort it out.. hope you still got and use the little beast.. happy riding and dont forget to replace them pistons..

Used to love track days on my old RGV 250 going up against bigger bikes that blew me away on the straights but I'd brake a mile later and duck in past them in the corners. I'm not exactly what you'd call the best of riders but with these little strokers i felt more of an achievement because i could push their limits more than big bikes.

I'm sure the big manufacturers could make a modern, clean two stroke engine. They just choose not to. I stopped watching the Moto GP when they switched to the four stroke bikes. It just wasn't the same after that...

First bike was a RG125F in 1994. Derestricted it straight away and rode like a twat! I rode on of these very briefly, they are mental. RIP 2 strokes.
