Sounds like an off center record playing, has that weird warble in it, better to just listen to the final recording really. Better singing in it, too.

Sounds really good! Love that it's an abrupt beginning and end instead of a fade-in fade-out bootleg source.

This must have been one of the final concerts Elvis gave before he launched on his 9 year movie career. I would have liked a mixture of live concerts and movies. For 9 years there was no way to see Elvis.
@donaldlucas998Ай бұрын
Yes, I agree with you there. I had read or heard somewhere that there was have supposed to been a small concert tour in 1963, and Rca was going to do an album of it, but for whatever reason, it got cancelled. But this concert was in 1961, and I think it was his last, until the 1968 tv special. But I agree fully that he should had did concerts while doing movies too. It could have made him have more hits, and I would have liked to seen his dancing movements on stage during the 1960s.

Signing that contract with no control over scripts and music, imo, was a huge mistake. He just disappeared.

I’m glad this footage survived. I forget which TV show aired this tape but I’m glad they aired that rare tape (also used in the History of Rock N Roll TV series). I do hope someone taped it off air.

Anyone who says the Colonel "made Elvis" should have their tongue ripped out by the roots. If that were true, than why didn't the Colonel ever make another one? Elvis is the G.O.A.T!

Backed by The blue moon boys ,Scotty Moore lead, DJ {Dominic Joseph} Fontana drums and Bill Black bass. I've often wondered why they didn't see themselves a four piece group as opposed to Elvis and The blue moon boys.

Fact=Frank Sinatra was at the time one of the most vital campaign figures for the Kennedys. Fact=Jackie Kennedy was a brunette who at times had "long black hair." I do wonder if Elvis was referring to her in that "long black hair" quip.

Big bands and big band singers controlled the music scene throughout the forties and early fifties. Then along came Elvis. Regards from an 88 (birthday today, March 10th) year old English Elvis fan who was born 1936, one year after Elvis. England, 2024.
