The Finals performance was just about flawless. What a comeback from the prelims. This absolutely BLEW the audience away. It wouldn't suprise me, if this earned a record score (up to that time), in Mufreesboro history. Unbelievable...

I’m new to the hobby and I’ve been thinking about getting into tinplate as well. Do you have any suggestions where I can look to buy tinplate trains? Also will the tinplate trains operate on lionel fast track?
@doctortelco3 ай бұрын
Are you looking for command control with sounds, ect? MTH will be producing tinplate again within the next 12 months. There are two different gauges. Any O-Gauge tinplate will run on Lionel Fasttrak. Standard Gauge requires a wider track. At this time buying tinplate means searching for it. Side Track Hobbies, Patricks Trains, Perry's Toy Exchange and Trainz are some of the best bets. Of course Ebay will always have some. To get an idea of what is out there you could go to MTHtrains.com and look at some of the older tinplate catalogs to get an idea of what is out there. If you want to buy new right now ETSTrains out of the Czech Republic. They will not have command control but you can order them with sound. www.ets.cz/en/ There are a few dealers in the US that carry a few of there trains. If you are close to York, PA one of the best places to buy would be the TCA Eastern Division train meet is next Friday and Saturday.

Hello Can you tell me how you are able to access all the Rudolph sound clips. I just got the set and it came with a Z controller with a bell and whistle button. Do I need a DCS controller to access all the sounds when idle? Thanks Danny
@doctortelco6 ай бұрын
If it is a Protosound 2 set it will have the sounds. If your engine was a loco sound engine it will not have those sounds.
@danielprovenzano72586 ай бұрын
@@doctortelco Can you clarify as it has protocol 2 sound but the Rudolph sounds only come on when idling . My z controller that came with the set can’t bring up the sounds with a touch of a button, the controller only has bells and whistles. What controller due I need to get to allow me to activate the Rudolph sounds went I want in idle. Thanks Danny
@doctortelco6 ай бұрын
@@danielprovenzano7258 You have to use a whistle,bell buttons to activate the sounds. For the freight yard sounds while the engine is moving push the bell button, 1/2 second pause followed by the whistle button, 1/2 second pause, then the whistle button again and then hit the directions button that will start the sequence. You will toggle through those sounds with the direction button. Here is a link to the Rudolph manual mthtrains.com/sites/default/files/download/instruction/30rtr13341i.pdf

@@doctortelco Thanks for the heads up I see now that the IR controller was not in the box. Where would I be able to get one and is there a specific one for the Rudolph train set? I see now under the Rudolph coal car with the proto sounds there is a Phillips screw that says smoke and another to the left that has no description . What is there purpose? Do sorry got so many questions! I appreciate your time and knowledge. Danny
@doctortelco6 ай бұрын
@@danielprovenzano7258 the other phillips insert manually adjusts the volume. You do not have to have the IR controller to make it work, just a transformer with a bell and whistle button. The IR controller went through several changes over the years and matching it up may be difficult
