Do you know if police got the thieves and if there proved to be other stolen goods on that property? I know they probably never tell you, but it would be nice to confirm if possible.
@AutomatricsMtrack24 күн бұрын
Your right they don't often share that info unless a defendant is being prosecuted and pleading not guilty. Then we usually provide the court with a written statement. We didn't do that on this operation, but any police suspects may have pleaded guilty and also be sent to prison. At least. that is how it is supposed to work.
@artistjoh24 күн бұрын
@@AutomatricsMtrack I know there are good reasons for not telling you, but life is often frustrating because we want to know the outcomes, especially of something like this. Keep up the good work. Last time we talked you said you were planning on expanding to Australia. Did you do that and if you did, did it work out well for you?

Point noted, joking aside, watch a few more theft recovery operational videos to discover some better customer investment results, saving owners up to £350K This client was operating a self insured rental business, as such any financially viable good insurance option would be hard to find. Most insurance policy fees are significantly increasing above inflation, insurers are definitely not flavour of the month. Theft claims are regarded as a policy holder fault claim, meaning if you have to claim that leaves a pretty expensive black mark for anyone for the next 5 years insurance premiums. You may keep your no claims discount but the actual premium will sky rocket. Most clients do not claim on any insurance, they get their vehicle back, avoid devaluation haggling sessions with an insurer, and they also retain vehicle value avoiding a "Stolen Vehicle DVLA Marker" as triggered by a theft insurance claim.

Back in the 1970s I worked for a plant hire company in that area, mostly driving JCBs. The boss had us paint different parts of each machine and photograph the marks. Two machines were stolen and found in a yard in S Wales. Signage had been removed and vin numbers changed but the dabs of paint behind panels etc. were still there and a conviction was made on the evidence.
@AutomatricsMtrack24 күн бұрын
Seems you had adopted a useful early identification system. These days machines are mostly identified with CESAR markings, this to help recognise stolen kit and rightful ownership, it was also thought this would deter machine equipment theft, but alas that element has not proven to be a great success.

The operational time lines are not critical for our channel , so we allow the police to conduct a full investigation prior to posting up. We will always try to upload in operational date order so you can imagine we have plenty of uploads coming. Customer services will also always take priority over uploads.

During my working life, one area of work I had was to trace accidentally or maliciously activated Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRB's) used on ships, boats and aircraft. The jobs came in when the satellite positioning reported them to be on dry land or very close to shore. They emit a low power homing signal on 121.5MHz which sounds similar to the Automatrics homing signal in this video and I traced them using vehicle mounted radio direction finders and handheld directional antennas. I have found them on rubbish tips, in the back of skip lorries going along roads and in harbours after small leisure boats had been broken into and the EPIRP thrown into the water of which some are thus automatically activated. I once found one in a garden shed of all places. I really enjoyed tracing them, as you never knew just where you would eventually find the device. Similar job to the man in this video. You can hear the homing signal sound by searching here in KZfaq for EPIRB 121.5MHz homing.

There is actually an international sport called amateur radio direction finding or ARDF. The participants locate hidden transmitters using similar equipment to that shown in the video. To make it more difficult, the transmitters aren't constantly active so you only have a short time to take a bearing. There are usually 5 hidden transmitters and the challenge is to locate all 5 in the quickest time. To add yet more fun, the terrain in which the events take place requires a bit of cross country running. In a nutshell, the sport is a cross between RF direction finding, orienteering and cross country running. ARDF is also known as Radio Fox Hunting with each transmitter being a fox and the participants being the hounds. Search here on KZfaq for some excellent videos. There are some showing how to make the directional antennas too.
