Hey! I love this video... if you can please elaborate on the speaker part.. so i have 2013 GC Larado, basicslly similar to yours in every way. Not wiring savvy so will have a local installer do this for me. I understands its imperfectioms being that its aftermarket, but music is HUGEEEEE to me. I love the speakers / woofers the GC comes with, and thats like the main thing i do when i drive. I use my speakers and blast music. Your telling me there is absolutely no way to keep that sound quality with this x6? I dont want to have to tamper with the speakers at all as i know nothing about that & dont have the budget for it.. Lastly, does this have a google play store, so i can download say, KZfaq TV? Thanks man. If you can get back to me, or even rather chat through a phone call, that works too. Just really need some info as i want to upgrade from the factory radio, but have anxiety about messing things up / doing irreparable damage.

I have a dark silver 2013 JGC Altitude. Was also looking at the PX6 from Phenix about a year ago and never pulled the trigger. Ended up getting the Teyes CC3 which is a 9" android unit that allowed me to keep my tactile climate controls. Its a huge step up from stock and I love it but yeah, those PX6 units are impressive looking.

Great video. Was told that the PX6 won’t work with my 2013 Grand Cherokee OME backup camera. You didn’t have any issues with this?

Most of the android based aftermarket tablets like this aren't compatible with JGC backup cameras. Ran into it with my install and did a bunch of research. Its because the wiring harness back by the camera is a joint harnesses with the license plate lights and relays through other electronics. Its a factory interface is custom and wont work. I got an aftermarket mini flush mount backup camera that fits in the same hole as the stock one and just ran the wire up to the new head unit. Took a couple hours start to finish and I took my time.

Hello, What was the name of the adapter you were missing from Phoenix? To make the back up camera come on when you had the Jeep in reverse? Also what button lets you look at the backup camera while you are driving forward or in park? How do the apps on the head uint work without WiFi? Is there a SIM card slot ? Whatever answers you can give me will be so helpful and I appreciate your time!

Question for anyone who may know: Regarding the quality of the audio. I've got a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit, which has the premium sound system in it. Which I believe is 850W amp, with subwoofer and 19 premium speakers. I'm wondering if the PX6 would sound just as good an the OEM that's in the Jeep now, since it's probably outputting a nominal signal from the radio and just letting the AMP boost it the the premium level from there. I'm guessing that your 2013 Altitude was just the base radio (no amp and no prem speakers), correct ? Anyone install this in a Jeep with the Prem Sound system let me know your thoughts on the post install sound. Thanks !

Hi, I have the 5.7 overland with the 505watt amp, my unit looks identical except for it is not from phoenix. I got mine directly from china. My audio remains factory and works great with the new head unit. I did have a no sound issue after install, but setting the CUR volume up all the way to max solved my issue. Sound quality is equal to or even better then factory due to equalizer and other audio tuning enhancements. Other issue is my bottom bezel cannot fit, it seems it is bigger then it should be. (That's what she said! 😃) * Heated seat buttons work. * Cooling seats buttons work. * AC and all climate buttons work * Reverse camera does not activate when put in reverse *** * The amount of options are overwhelming in the beginning (even for a tech guy like myself) but persevere and it gets easier as you get to know the system. Wires left over that i DID NOT CONNECT: * IR wire * Key1 * Key2 * AMP power (Yes my audio works without this being connected as mentioned above.) * ANT 12V + Hope this helps.

I always go with all JBL Studio speakers..they sound the best. You could keep the factory speakers but you would need to run a amplifier to them..this radio doesn't put out enough amps

Hey does the KZfaq and stuff work while the jeep is in motion? Also where did you purchase this unit from? Supposedly phoenix sells the radio with instructions

I ordered directly from Phoenix. They definitely don't include instructions. Maybe that has changed but even when I called them they said they don't include instructions. Yes video works while in motion. KZfaq def works while driving.

Hey there. Great question. I'd have the same question as well. I've got a 2014 Grand Cherokee Summit. It's got the heated and cooled. My understanding, is that as long as they confirm your vehicle + it's trim package, the right CANVAS decoder sent with the radio is programmed to have the right functionality, so the vented seats should be a menu option. May you can confirm that's true ? Thanks.
