I didn't give it any dwell time in this video. You could just spray it to cover all the rust, give it 10 minutes to work, check and see if it needs longer or a second application, and then pressure wash it off. Scrubbing is not necessary. Keep in mind it will clean whatever it runs down onto below.

As a writer I one hundred percent approve of you buffing this one. I'm guessing you hate vandals or was it just this offensive ones?
@AndrewMeades7 күн бұрын
I don't hate vandals. I feel like graffiti is just a fact of life, like littering, its going to happen eventually. If you own a building just budget an amount for it and remove it ASAP always. It is not something I would do personally as its against my values touching someone elses property without permission. But it also helps to put food on my table, so it is what it is. I don't mind it as much when its a big corporate customer. And it sucks when its a struggling small business owner who has their city forcing them to remove it and I get to experience their frustration and loss.

@@AndrewMeades Ok I see your side and I get what your saying me personally I was shown from older guys who already had been painting since late 90's and there's different types of writers there's straight up vandals that just wanna destroy and are usually sh*t house(the P*say tag is a prime example) then you got ones who will only hit like the city and trainlines and then you have legal art mural pieces. I always push for local governments to make legal spaces more available because it does work don't care what anyone says it does. Alot of people have gone from doing illegal to just legal walls and because you have time you can get so much better not to mention the friends you meet at spots. Anyway we are not all the same like I said in my original comment I fully approve of this buff and anything else like it. Hope you have a great day.

What’s your nozzle setup? That’s interesting

Its a dual lance. High and low pressure nozzles and a valve handle to adjust between the two. That way you can control your pressure exactly. pressuretek.com/suttner-st-54-w-side-handle/

@@AndrewMeades why’ve you got it spraying out of both? That’s interesting
@AndrewMeades13 күн бұрын
@@kennethcloghessy3633 it's bypassing some of the water from the high pressure tip to the low pressure, and that decreases the overall pressure. So instead of 3500 PSI I can wash with 1500 let's say. Great when you don't want to hit things harder than necessary

How much PSI is that?
@kkuo180322 күн бұрын
Gonna give a shot at pressure washing /acid washing my boat . What psi is safe for gel coat and what degree tips do you recommend ? The local hardware store sells a 1800 psi 1.5 gph washer with a 15 degree tip but I’ve read 45 degree safer on gel coat ? I do have some dings and spider cracks in the gel coat . Thanks for the video . Learned a lot and looks satisfying !
@AndrewMeades22 күн бұрын
@@kkuo1803 I usually run around 1200-1500 psi with a rotary tip. The gel coat can take a lot but you don't want to hit it harder than you need to. A rotary tip really helps knock off the organics but you can do it with a fan tip just takes longer. The key is to let the acid do the work, don't try and brute force off with the water. Reapplying the acid and brushing will help.

They were broken down chemically and pressure washed off. Potassium hydroxide product in a gel. Not sure what kind of paint was used but I did a test with 7 different products. Road paint is very tough, most of the time needs media blasting to be efficient enough.
