Every Time i hear this song i get goosebumps, amazing, to all my people from all over the world i just want to say God loves you, love each other no matter what language you speak, we're all God's creation

Awesome, Amazing, Powerfully put together!! I love listening to this Drum Team!! I really like when they drum with an American Indian with their different types of flutes!! When it all comes together, it’s a sound you’ve never heard and you don’t ever want to forget!! Bless all of you!

Ummm, sorry to disappoint but this track has nothing to do with being native American…it was written and composed in 1992 by Trevor Jones with help and assistance from Randy Edelman. Whilst I love history, absolutely love everything about the Settlers into America and Canada from the 15th century, right the way through and into the earliest 20th century. The Last of the Mohicans was, I believe a love story, written 1752…and as much as I wish you were right in your comments, the facts remain…Nothing Spiritual, nothing Native American and most certainly NOT nor ever will be an American song. Historical Facts are very important.

Dougie MacLean, a Scotsman, created the original music "The Gael". Trevor Jones adopted the music for Orchestra and it became the theme song for the historical fiction novel by George Fenimore Cooper (an American author). As you correctly pointed out, the music was not inspired by native Americans or their music. If anything, it might be described as Celtic. The performer in the video is from South America and confuses the Indian tribes on the east coast with the plains Indians. Moreover, the headdress is normally reserved for ceremonial practices and is not normal attire. Tribal members can speak with more knowledge on the subject. The version of the Gael composed for the movie perfectly fit the mood of the movie. The book is a nice read, too. It's a creative performance but it's too bad that so many people around the world are confused about its origins. They don't know about north American tribal music and art; American literature; Celtic influences in the American colonies or Scottish music.
