In this particular scenario : ok I have an another doubt sir, my friend and me are in the same network 192,168,1,0/24 In my laptop, i have virtual box with vm running [ centOS + ssh running ] lets assume : my friends wants to send a file to virtal machine using SCP, or he has some work with the VM. how is it possible, do it effect in any way to my personal system. thank you

@@VirtualNetworkingConcept I am able to ping my virtual machine using my local machine But I'm unable to ping my local machine from virtual machine I researched a lot The solution is : add inbound rule of ICMP packets from windows firewall From particular destination or port or something I did it It worked Is it the right practice

Hi sir I have miniconda3 installed on SLES12 SP5 it's a prod server. I have 100+ envs created and all are working with the current version. My question is that now my server is in SLES12 SP5 and if I update the kernel patch for Mar-07-2023 4.12.14-122.150.1 will it break any of my existing service or conda services?

Thank you. After all the changes mentioned are made, it was still not working. I then realized from your screen share, that the "ONBOOT=" parameter in the network configuration should be set to "yes". My linux box had it set to "no" by default. After changing it to "ONBOOT=yes" and restarting the network on the linux box, I was able to connect to the internet.

If you have GRUB appear at boot-up, you can boot into any of the previously installed kernels UNLESS you performed an autoremove since you initially installed the operating system. Look for the 'Grub Customizer' for your distro.

If we reinstall the kernal will it impact any instance that installed on the same host ?

Unless until if you don't have any special parameters sets in the kernel Grub setting which is loaded in the running kernel there won't be any issues. Or else find out if any special settings applied in the running kernel Grub settings, post kernel reinstall apply same setting into Newly installed kernels
