Y'all in Michigan? Looks a lot like it! I walked thr railroad tracks behind my Grandmothers place in Marlette a while back and found a few broken insulators, nothing intact sadly.

Hello! I’m a new insulator fan! I have a question how did you make that pole tool thing to get the insulators? Thank you!

This one is made from an old pole saw with two metal bars covered with rubber in a V shape on the top, works pretty well.

@@GlassGuru-mu4hn I have the opposite problem I've only ever found 2 Brookfields in the wild, everything here is Hemingray with the occasional Armstrong or Kerr.
@GlassGuru-mu4hn3 ай бұрын
@@EJBuddy Yeah I find the Armstrongs and Whitall Tatums, no Kerri’s yet though. I do get plenty of Hemingray 19s however, so I guess I do find A LOT of Hemingrays. Once in a while I find a hemi 40 or 42 as well.

In Russian the H letter is pronounced like the N letter. They use a X letter to make H sounds. My name is Harper but they always called me Garper. I'm not sure, but Belorussian is probably the same. That's a beautiful insulator!

Looks very similar to the old steam shovel dredges used to mine limestone.Also looks like an old gravel pit it's sitting on the Bank of.Linestone was mined from these gravel pits.These old gravel pits dot the lower Great lakes basin. Michigan as well as neighboring states.Were once good fishing holes in the years after their use.Could possibly be a Abandoned facility that used limestone in production in some way. Limestone a company's steel production as well as masonary products. The smokestack in the distance gives hint in the way of steel..Seeing the smokestack fired up my curiosity. Haven't seen any of the city's or towns of this area of the rust belt ever since their fall.Only remember when they were still in operation for the most part.Thinking early 70's.. Videos like this are like reminders of the bygone days of yesteryear that's for sure!!

I got a green 162 Lynchburg for $5.00 and a free 102 diamond, plus some free cable top porcelains.

Insulator collecting is the best collectable because of the people who also collect them. I have made more friends who are great people because of this hobby. You have a great eye for insulators and keep getting the affordable ones. I have been collecting since 1967 and the thrill of the hunt is another great aspect of collecting these insulators. As a conversation starter insulators can't be beat. Happy collecting.
