Lots of people use printed fabrics designed by others to sew garments, use in applique and otherwise embellish other items, often for sale. The 'fellow artist' comment is kind of strange. The price of the fabric is paid. Just state "embellished pre printed fabric". The artist has been paid long before that fabric is printed and on the bolt.

Awhile ago, my hubby and I decided that the animal that represents me the best would be a raccoon. It kinda started off as a joke, but I've fully embraced my trash panda self. I am also known as the jam maker in the family, having learned from grandma, and have been making jams by myself since my early 20s. (Since Grams said I was an adult and didn't need her help, she was sure I could do it without her supervision... turns out I could, I've been doing it for over 15 years! Now she has me do all the jam making...) This is absolutely perfect, and I can't wait to make this.

Wow that is amazing, I feel like this will be a very meaningful piece to stitch! Sounds like you’re a pro at homemade jams, they are absolutely delicious! 😍

Just wanted to correct myself again...I always get confused between the blanket and buttonhole stitch. I corrected what I said in the video, but I think it actually is called a blanket stitch. Either way, the two names get used interchangeably a lot for two stitches that are very similar 😆

What marker did you use on the fabric?
@crewelghoul2 күн бұрын
I used water soluble Solvy and draw on that with a micron! I recommend always testing them out first on whatever fabric you’re using tho to make sure it doesn’t bleed

No always if it’s a heavier 100% cotton! But if it’s stretchy I would use some

I just happened across your channel this week. You're a young but serious embroiderer. Your teaching style is easy to follow. I watch a couple people all the time but am always interested in new ideas and a different take on embroidery. I learned basic embroidery over 60 years ago and have tried lots of types. Slow stitching and sashiko are my current favorites. 😊

Thank you! I’m glad you are enjoying the videos. Thats awesome, i think it’s really fun to switch it up and learn about different techniques. I haven’t done a ton of Sashiko but I think it looks so beautiful!

Q: what’s the difference between using the pearl strand and just separating one strand from the dmc and practicing with that?
@crewelghoul8 күн бұрын
I usually only use one strand for stitches like the long and short stitch. Pearl thread comes in a couple different sizes/thicknesses, but all of them are a bit thicker than one strand! And the main difference between the two is the texture they create ☺️
