Hey man I just picked one up, is it normal to have a good amount of flex in the floor? New to these things, plan on adding an entire sheet of fiberglass down to thicken it up a little

Yea I’ve had 6 or 7 ghees in my day , they have all had a good amount of flex on the floors of the 15’4s . The LTs have a little more solid material in them , but yes it’s pretty normal . Some extra fiberglass never hurts , but it would also take a lot to put a foot through the bottom so it’s just up to you

You can rent an engine picker at most auto parts stores for like $20-30 a day. Or harbor freight sells them for $200.

Yes it gets very hot and sets too fast if incorrect amount Reading the back of the bondo brand fiberglass repair kit I somehow came up with the ratio of 1.5 tbps to 5 drops resin and it works good. I'm trying to find a way of getting the patch cloth on a gel surface BEFORE paintbrushing the resin on so that it doesn't harden, as it's too sticky to work with. Anyone have any ideas? I've heard of gelcoat but which gelcoat works with bondo brand fiberglass resin because I have like 3 bottles now lol

Great content as usual. Just a heads up next time when u change spark plugs i would def recommend checking the gap and making sure its to spec before throwing them in u know. But anyways again great job and awesome job on the video and ur hard work and dedication allowing us to go with u through the journey. I know it could be hard sometimes trying to work with one hand and a camera in the other. So thank u for doing so brother. Anyways much love to ya bro from Maryland❤❤❤. I would paint the inside the boat like a light gray or dark gray and then u wouldnt see that the Eva foam isn't that wide. It would transition it very well. Idk and me personally would run it the whole length of the boat as well.

I bought it for 2800 with no motor , put around 2000 in to it , so I had roughly 4800 in it . Sold it for 7800 . But I see them selling around here between 5-7 all the time

Could I use that stuff to fix a small hole/chipped hull on my tri hull? I was gonna pack it with caulk and call it good but that stuff might work better😂

Yes these little fiberglass repair kits work wonders. Very strong and long lasting . Just read the directions because I didn’t and it almost exploded 😂

I have a video on when I bought it , it’s been sitting for so long that it had a quarter inch of mold on the back side of it lol. Did a fresh tune up , Yamahas are tanks. Definitely needs a carb clean though , dealing with a bogging down issue at idle
