It would help if you had translations of some sort….otherwise you are just catering to one audience (those who already speak Tieng Việt)

Pho is Vietnamese food. The idea is that you memorize how to order the food only to be stumped by Vietnamese terms you don’t understand.

Wow the pronunciation of the first word (dad) is so terrible. And I don't even know Vietnamese. The word he repeats doesn't even have the same vowel sound

Watching these videos now. Kind of wish I found them before purchasing a 1 year subscription to vietnamesepod101, which teaches northern dialect. My family is from the south, but it's okay as I will use both resources in case I encounter northerners in southern VN when I travel there as an adult. I'm glad these resources exist now in my early 30s when I didn't have them in my youth. These videos are helpful, since I didn't have access to a nearby Buddhist temple where I lived to teach me Vietnamese and there's not as much of a Vietnamese population where I live compared to other cities with their Little Saigons. Thank you for producing these videos and helping overseas Vietnamese learn the language better and helping us get in touch with our ancestral cultural roots.

do u know Mettbrötchen?
@williammartin836611 күн бұрын
German Mettbrötchen, which is mildly seasoned raw minced pork (Mett) spread on a crusty roll (Brötchen). 🤮 I'm half German / Scottish and I prefer not to eat pork, raw meat or certain types of bread due to sugar.

Three things I will never eat in Vietnam is Rat 🐀 , Dog 🐕 or Bugs 🦗! And I'm glad my wife is the same way 💞! I tend to ask and consult with my wife or family before I order anything to eat! lol 👍💯🔥

You're doing it wrong. You don't listen, then repeat. Shadowing is supposed to be simultaneously done. You do it as if you hear it and exactly as you hear it. It should sound like you're basically speaking over the audio.
@8Phoenix818 күн бұрын
As an certified interpreter, you are right. :) they could probably say consecutive shadowing. Since that works better

Chào @8Phoenix8, Thank you for your comment! Consecutive shadowing is a great technique, and we appreciate your professional insight. We'll keep this in mind for future content. Best regards, The SVFF Team

Good tip. Never knew it was called shadowing. Figured this out on my own and I've been doing this for years whenever I listen to my family and shows speak our languages to improve myself.

He's using the shadowing technique to learn English, and it improves a lot when you study for 6 months to 1 year.
