They look awesome. Is there any actual heat to them? I love spicy bread but i know spice can get muddled by startches
@nachopie63487 ай бұрын
There wasn't much heat to this recipe, just really awesome flavors! Zindrew does have a spicier oil called the x-batch that might add some heat! We added more chili oil on top when we served it!

FYI for anyone getting ideas on trying this, car camping is ILLEGAL on O'ahu! Stop promoting illegal activity please. ☹️ Even our own homeless aren't allowed to car camp so tourists definitely should not. If you see any posts for campervan rentals please call the owner or report their business because they are lying to you and trying to make money off of unsuspecting tourists that don't know they're breaking the law. Locals will call the cops on campervans. Better to be safe and book a legal accommodation.

The nutmeg ruined the potatoes. But, dang where they fluffy. Gonna make it again without nutmeg and it should be a hit.

Hi Rizzy! We apologize for the delay in response - if you're using the thicker Pandan Extract, I'd use ~ 1 tbsp. :) Hope that helps!

Bugels aren't vegan, they contain milk. And Chex aren't vegan either, they all contain Vitamin D3 in the form of lanolin which comes from sheep. My 5 year old son is anaphylactic to all red meat and mammalian by-products, and he can't eat chex. 😔 But thank you for sharing. 💕

Awesome recipe! I have followed this and made it four times now without fail. However, I do need to add a lot more flour to the mix as it is too sticky. Probably added more than 5 tablespoon of flour in total after the initial 350g of flour. And this is just a personal preference as I like the bun slightly sweeter; I added 2tbsp of sugar to the 85g
@nachopie63482 жыл бұрын
yay! we're so happy the recipe has worked for you ! :)

Shaking beef sounds yummy and juicy meal for sure.... its one of French Influenced Viet foods other than Banh Mi and Banh Flan and Coffee and Banh Pate Chaud etc.....quick question for ya. Is it ok to cook beef like medium rare?? Is ok ok to use Chateaubriand meat for this dish instead????? Or do you add fish sauce to cook Tomato Rice as well??? OFC. FISH SAUCE IS MAIN INGREDIENTS FOR MOST OF VIET DISHES...Cause I personally do prefer rare steak beef pink inside than overcookes hard rubbery like meat....... also, shaking beef pairs well with red tomato fried rice for sure IMO...

23 seconds in i subscribed because of that transition with the camera panning and knife sweeping over with that grazing sound and the potatoes being diced after the knife passes
