Love the end of the scene. The truth of Andy comes spilling out and it's that he's just another source of the troubles and degradation that Travis is repulsed by in the streets. Travis is taken aback and quickly slips past the ugly truth that he himself is partaking in furthering those societal degradations by buying illegal arms from Andy.

I wonder if the scene in Iron Man 2, where Justin Hammer shows off his guns to James Rhodes, was inspired by this scene. Sam Rockwell's voice is a dead ringer for Steven Prince's here. And just like Travis, Rhodes takes everything! 😂

The transition to the Snubnose is brilliant. As Bickle is looking out the window, through the trees, the image is unmistakably similar to Oswald looking down from the Texas Book Depository. This similarity could not have been a coincidence. By 1976 it was burned into the collective American conscience. So we begin to see Bickle has multiple sides.
