Should look at a separate screen for the top of the dash, that would use the aux of the single din. Saves cutting up your dash, and can get them cheap with wireless carplay/android auto. Good video though 👍

Great to see you back Gordon, I wouldn’t of bought and converted my t6 if I hadn’t of started watching your videos, which we have many fond memories in travelling around Europe and many parts of the uk. Good luck with the new build and if you’re going to visit vw heritage again let me know, I live around the corner in Shoreham and there will always be a cup of tea and snacks waiting… look forward to the upcoming content

Why is there a gap on the top half of the blinds on the sides
@stevezodiac4912 ай бұрын
That cover isn't insulated, which removes the only reason why you would buy an external cover because not insulated, it doesn't move the warm / cold interface away from the window, which doesn't stop interior condensation. We have both internal and external ' insulated' blinds We have stopped taking the external blinds with us completely because of the following reasons. space - only room for one set. Outside fitment - because it is outside it gets wet and you have to fit and remove it outside, whatever the weather, leaving you with wet clothes and worse a wet cover to store wet. Flapping - in windy weather the flapping keeps you awake, not only that, if you are next to the beach or a sandy area, the wind blows sand and grit under the exterior cover making a perfect sanding block, which damages your paint, even worse when it is wet as well, making the sand stick to the cover more readily. I much prefer now taking the interior blinds. Even though there is condensation, you fit and remove them in the warm inside of the van, they don't flap all night, don't get soaked with rain and store neatly on top of the pop top bed after a little wipe. I wish that I hadn't bothered wasting my money on external blinds.

Hi. Great video -well explained. I’ve an 04 t5 that has the previous type of radio/surround…have you any idea if there is a kit that i can get to upgrade so that the van can take more modern radios? i.e. the radio/head units that take two fixing screws on either side of the radio. Thanks.

If you add a window you can get round the 60mph to 70 it’s about the blind spot.
