19/20. Only got Detonation wrong which is understandable since I only listen to a few songs from The Crusade and that isn't one of them

Hey if this Is genuinely your top 10 fair enough every song though does seem to be the 10 fan favourite songs like the ones everyone knows, but yeah I can’t disagree at all just definitely seems like a ranking of only the fan favourites. Like for example after you mention the first 4 songs I predicted what the next 6 were gonna be and I was right😂 Really good top 10 though😊

Camp Ozzy won't give Jake credit for BATM because that would open a can of worms. Imagine how many other musicians will pop up out of the woodwork and sue them. You can always count on Sharon to do the wrong thing.

Babymetal and Electric Callboy brought me here lol. Easily one of their top 10 ten now and the banger hit of the summer!! I would mostly agree with these but it needs to include their latest album. Devine Attack-Shingeki, Monochrome, Metal Kingdom are all great tracks. Metal which was a collaboration with Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine is also great. Not a bad start but can stand an update.

Yeah that sucks but i get it. I love Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, and All that Remains. Out of the 3 i think Shadows Fall is my favorite but i don't think that my opinion is exactly the favored opinion. Honestly I think the amount of love thrown towards Killswitch over others is a little undeserved.

weather or not it is true that the mainstream doesn't like it, why do you care what the mainstream likes. they have a huge dedicated fanbase, that wants and expects guitar solos like they are used to hear from them. What's the point in trying to please people that aren't your audience. Changing genre with the Black Album wasn't selling out, defending your bad solos with "the mainstream" doesn't care is. It is also very sad to see one of metals greatest influences fall so low as to use "we are sellouts" as an excuse for bad performance

VIVALDI learned guitar until he is so good now, where did his resources come from? There's some truth in what Kirk said like that, why is it that Vivaldi is being rude and seems to be underestimating Kirk, if I think about it, it's as if Vivaldi is not talking directly to KIRK, the Metallica guitarist is just playing like that compared to him hhehehe, it's turning around with the reality of how rich his solo results really are. Vivaldi? Frankly speaking, instrumental music and singing, even though 100 years from now, singing is still considered to have better market potential than instrumental 😁 and frankly, I've never heard Vivaldi play hehe, yes it's true if you say he's a kid, maybe he's saying that because his music doesn't sell like Kirk's, in the end vivaldi just to suck up

Sad, Jake deserves writing credit
@NONE2NONE6 ай бұрын
I'm split on this cuz its so fucked up. We know Jake wrote major parts of the song, including the main riff and guitar solos. For his name to not be on the publishing is a travesty because he could live comfortably from that one song alone. But its likely he signed away his rights for a payday upfront, which is what most of these dopey musicians do. I just couldn't imagine giving him his publishing back, knowing how much input he had on that song and how it could change his life for the better. You have to be an evil, money hungry sadist to not help him at this point.

why Osborne’s are rich and jake is leaving paycheck to paycheck probably why zakk branched off to make some side hustle money
@captainchaos87016 ай бұрын
I read that he said he wanted the credits and would sign saying he didn't want any royalties, past or future. As much of a business the OZZY train is, you don't get that profitable by doing the right thing.
@endtimesprophecybroadcasti23116 ай бұрын
it's just not that one song, it's all the songs except "so tired" although he wrote the guitar solo for that one also. He wanted no money past, present or future and would sign anything legal saying so. He just wanted name credit for the songs he wrote.
@NONE2NONE6 ай бұрын
@@endtimesprophecybroadcasti2311 I’m not sure about that. If they gave him credit on the song, he could turn around and sue for publishing. But why on earth would you dedicate your life to music and not want any money for it? How the hell are you going to survive? It’s incredibly naive of Jake if that’s true. That’s how a 12 year old boy thinks 🤷🏻♂️

A great solo for me is a sequence that tells its own part of the rest of the story. Kirk used to write memorable solos and then he turned into the pentatonic king and not in a good way. Angel is just a beast of a player and his solos really sing to my ears.

@darrelladams48867 ай бұрын
The problem with Kirk is that he says some truth mixed in with a ton of nonsense and copium to mask that fact that he pretty much stopped trying after the black album. He made excuses for it during the load reload era claiming to be more into “feel” at the time but his playing didn’t back it up instead showing a lack of motivation and effort. I think after the black album he fell victim to the excesses of fame and all the distractions and vices that came with it and lost his hunger; practiced less and straight up just didn’t want to deal with the pressure of having to create something just to be held up to the standards of someone like Marty Friedman or dimebag or Petrucci or whoever else was killing it at the time. Now he just goes into the studio and wings it and pieces it all together only nowhere as good as it was before. Kirk used to try and he had a style that worked for him and people tended to enjoy it. Now he’s the worst part of almost every song. He doesn’t need to compete with anyone, he just needs to rediscover what made him him cause he’s had some good stuff that worked for the bands sound and felt way more cohesive and inspired and worked out than what we have now. I always look at the struggle within solo as a great example of Kirk done right and when compared to lux Aeterna solo the difference is clear. Yet both were probably put together in studio in similar ways.

I can agree with Hammett to an extent, guitar solos are not for everyone, but technical virtuosos like Vivaldi, Friedman, Ellis, Van Halen, Petrucci, Vai, Laiho, are all the reasons I got into metal and guitar solos in the first place. Guitar solos can be very memorable and just as important as the rest of the song. I will always appreciate a well-written, creative and memorable guitar solo.
