I work in a restaurant I style my hair in a page boy, I have to wear a hairnet and baseball cap. I take a hat pin and pin my hat high, so my hat is not covering my forehead but still covers my fringe.

Ever since my hair thinned as I've entered Perimenopause I style my hair in a page boy. The length of my hair is up to my collar bone, I curl my hair with perm rods and sleep on them. The back of my hair around my hairline I pin curl my hair using long bobby pins aka Kirby grips. I pin a bouffant style hair net on the sides and back of my head, I do a side part for my fringe and do a mini pomp on the side of my head. And I do not know how this happens my fringe becomes wavy. All I do to set my fringe is I make one small stand-up pin curl.

Ever since I saw your half-moon fringe cutting tutorial, I only cut my fringe this way, Makes styling my fringe easy even though the length of my fringe is to the end of my nose.

I knew tests for amber but not bakelite, most bakelite I can tell by weight or design but it's nice to know about the friction test as when I'm out and about it's a bit intrusive to whip out the polychrome.
