Not trying to tell you what to do but you really need to honethe cylinder. There is a good chance that oil is going to bypass the new piston rings because if the cylinder was glazed over or if there isn't any cross hatch cylinder there isn't nothing there to hold oil to lubricat the ring s. Rings might not ever seat correctly...
