I play in a tournament once a month at my LGS. They allow proxies. I wouldn’t call it “competitive” though. It’s a free tourney but there is minor prize support.

100% Commander is a better format with restrictions, decks and games are more fun with variety and weird cards being thrown around!

Rule 0 is a huge conversation to have as well, tell everyone you're running proxies. It's not fun to stomp everyone with your $2000 cedh deck when they're running $200 intro decks

Honestly, whether or not piracy is justified depends on your personal circumstances and the circumstances of the company you're pirating from. If you're pirating a game from a AAA developer who's making "Record-breaking profits" every year then go for it. If you're pirating a game that's been out of production for 5 years, then go for it. If you're pirating an indie game while making 7 figures, you're absolutely a dick, and don't do that.

The *difference* here is that the *makers of this game* says that Proxies are 110% A-OK with them, as long as you aren’t trying to fraudulently sell them as WotC Originals, or use them in DCI tournaments. Thankfully, we now live in a time where 3-4$ Proxies are so indistinguishable from WotC Originals that you literally need to check the dot-matrix “L” in the mana symbol on the back of the card to tell the difference. People have every right to choose whether or not to use Proxies, and everyone’s choice is perfectly valid, for them. What they *don’t* have a right to is knowing the provenance of someone else’s cards. In other words, the days of, “I’m not playing against Proxies” are very nearly over, because how are you supposed to tell the difference with everyone’s deck sleeved? I mean, let’s be honest. Anyone who’s anti-proxy is just pissed off their wallet isn’t giving them the advantage or superior play-experience they believe the money they’ve spent entitles them to.

Do you honestly think that people who are paying 3-4$ a proxy to get cards indistinguishable from WotC Originals in a visual and tactile capacity are going to then turn around and *tell you* they’re playing with Proxies? If you play at an LGS, with more than the same 3-7 people all the time, there’s a 99.9% probability you’ve been playing against Proxies for months. It’s been over a year since the pro-proxy makers near-matched the WotC card stock, after all.

i mean if we talk about commander, basically all cedh decks are atleast 1k, most go to around 10k some even above that so its kinda similar i gues(and lets not talk about vintage xd)

You are incorrect about this in order to cast a spell that has an adventure from exile it has to have been put there by an effect that allows you to cast it from exile for example casting the adventure side or by an effect that allows you to cast it from exile like Rocco or prosper in that case you would be able to cast either the adventure or the permanent itself.
