I'm very sorry for your diagnosis. As far the CP if the mask doesn't fit right it will cause dry eye. That happened to me my nose is too small so I finally was fitted with a small nasal mask. I agree CPAP is a pain.

Hey Shawn… sorry to hear about your medical issues. You seem like a cool guy who does not deserve all this nonsense. 🤷🏼♂️ Hope it gets better.

Your cousin had bellzpalsy when he was 3 or 4 years old. It lasted about2-3 months
@shawnsjourneysАй бұрын
I'm hoping that it is Bells Palsy and not MG because that will mean I will recover from these symptoms. Hopefully if that is what I have, then it will go away in a few weeks and not a few months because these symptoms suck! ❤

How are you getting Mounjaro when there is a shortage? I am diabetic and I can not get back on Mounjaro because of the shortage. What is the secret to getting it.
@shawnsjourneys3 ай бұрын
I'm on the smallest dose of 2.5 which is what the manufacturer is making the most of. I get it from Walmart pharmacy and so far no issues. Walmart did state they are having issues getting the higher dose.

TLDR: The speaker is dealing with various medical issues, including sleep apnea, liver cirrhosis, and diabetes, but is finding success with their treatment and is focused on maintaining a positive attitude and healthy lifestyle. 00:00 🚢 Exciting news about a new KZfaq channel dedicated to cruising videos and upcoming Bermuda cruise, with no videos posted yet. 02:07 🚨 The speaker discusses recent medical results, including the possibility of getting the Inspire medical device for severe sleep apnea and conflicting information about their liver and spleen health, with their doctor warning of potential bad blood work results. 05:25 🩸 Liver cirrhosis is progressing and scary, but I'm also doing my weekly blood test for diabetes. 07:03 🚨 The speaker's blood sugar levels have increased slightly, and their doctor is keeping them on a lower dose of medication due to shortages, but may consider increasing it in the future. Mjo Mjaro is working well for the speaker's body and has a positive side effect of weight loss. 10:23 🚨 The speaker's prescription was initially paid for out of pocket, but they were surprised to find out it was covered by insurance, and now their insurance will cover all medical expenses for the rest of the year. 12:08 👀 Admin demonstrates how to administer an injection, emphasizing the simplicity of the process. 13:45 🚨 The speaker drove for 12 hours and is experiencing sudden pain in their rib cage, suspecting it may be related to an enlarged spleen. 15:54 🚨 The speaker lost 3 pounds this week, plans to lose 4 more pounds in 2 weeks, and credits exercise and Mount Jaro for the weight loss, while also reminding everyone to enjoy life and be kind to others.

Wow, as someone who has early stage fatty liver myself… your situation’s rough. Does sound like you do need tirzepatide, but it’s unaffordable for you (gotta luv the broken US healthcare system). Short of moving to Canada, only things I can think of are, 1) Do the Mounjaro or Zepbound savings card, but take a slightly higher dose than you’d normally need, and only take it once every 10 to 14 days, instead of every week. That’d cut to the cost from $550 every 4 weeks down to more like $275 to $385. Obviously *discuss this with your doctor first,* but there are ppl out there who do this - and successfully, including T2D ppl. 2) Go the compounded tirzepatide route. Research very thoroughly to find a reputable one, as compounded pharmacies are not super-well-regulated in general. Wish you luck Shawn. Putting lots of weight back on must be a very fraught and troubling experience, especially when one has significant co-morbidities to address. 😟

If you are willing to pay the $500+ amount for Mounjaro, if you're not able to get the insurance to cover it, you really should look into doing the Tirzepatide compound from a repetable telehealth service. My insurance wouldn't cover ANYTHING weight loss related so I've been using the Tirzepatide compound since June 2022 and it has worked wonders!!! I've surpassed my goal weight that I now need to lower my dose and start skipping a week to just be in maintaining mode or come off all together for a little bit.

I just started ozempic today 1/15/24,was nervous about it with all the side effects. I hope they are very minimal, hopefully it will curb my diabetes ( type 2 ), and lose a little weight, also will be starting a workout plan to keep my muscle mass.

Adding fiber helps me. I whirl it into my morning protein coffee. Also, when I know I won't be at home, I find bringing something along with me to snack on helps. I hear your exhaustion. What does your doctor say? Depression is awful. And yes, to set off on a less helpful path, it makes the next things easier to do, but, of course worse for the goals, then the next thing. I feel for you and you have my support in your current struggle.

Have you ever considered getting the compounded version of Mounjaro (Tirzepatide)? My coworker started using the compounded Tirzepatide since the summer totaling 13 shots started at 2.5 mg and now on 5 mg. He has never had the prescribed Mounjaro because insurance would not cover it, so he's paying out of pocket. He has just found out that his insurance will NOW cover Ozempic but because Mounjaro (Tirzepatide compound equivalent) works soooo much better that he does not want to switch now and not get the same great results and just continue paying out of pocket $325 a month for the compound. This is why I watched all of your weeks of having to switch from Mounjaro to Ozempic to see if the weight loss amount was the same... and I see that it's not... sorry to see this for you.

I just came across your channel and just watched all of your weekly updates while migrating to Ozempic and you only mentioned side effects you experienced in week 1 and maybe week 2... still having any after taking new shots each week? moving on now to see your week 10 update

Well done 🎉 I hope Ozempic is just as successful for you! Good luck! I love how you mentioned that the medicine combined with a healthy diet and exercise is what makes it successful. For the people thinking this is just a miracle drug, they are right! However, it’s not magic. it encourages you to get to know your own body, start eating things that give you results and make you feel better, start moving more, get healthy….It’s a journey and this medicine is a tool. ❤
