I have only had 1 cutting successfully grow a new plant this way. The rest have always died :( I just let them get huge and divide the rhizomes to get more plants.

Try your same recipe just change the container. Try a one gallon smart pot and put that into a one gallon zip lock baggy. Cut a hole in the zip lock baggy once you see it fill up outside the pot. Use a chopstick to poke holes. Zip the baggy and let it breathe every few hours
@troybrake56864 ай бұрын
Cuttings were way to long for the pot, need 2 buds below dirt minimum! For cutting that long they need to be halfway buried minimum! And they can't dry out!

There’s a reason not all the triop eggs hatch. It’s to ensure species survival. Sometimes they don’t hatch until the 2nd or 3rd time they’ve been desiccated.

I find it doesnt matter much, they correct themselves the way they want to anyways. But by planting them upright the roots are closer to the surface and I often get more sprouts coming up filling in the pot quicker.

Hello I have a question 1.) Drosera seeds -> 2.) seedling stage -> Mini greenhouse 58 cm x 40 cm I have a question 1.) Should we feed them manually at some point? as the domes are closed in their seedling stage to maintain humidity, leaving no access for any insects to get in. 2._Should we open the dome every couple of days for them to get new air? 3.) I have been told that boiled and then cooled water is fine for Sundews. Can anyone confirm this? 4.) How much water does a sundew need? 5.) I wish, I just thought. catching rainwater. ?

Will doing this in a tank work? I'm planning on using my 5-gallon for a few of these guys to just breed, lay eggs, and die off. After they die off letting the tank dry out and restarting the process. I mean on paper and in my brain it makes sense but I don't know much about these guys other then the basics.
@OutdoorsAndBotanical10 ай бұрын
Yes it would work, as long as the water is still clean after they die. You dont want algae and stuff building up or it will harm the eggs

I was a bit dissapointed when I saw my Lupine looking like this as it didnt have such a long time that it was flowering and I thought It was simply destroyed by a storm. Turns out its the natural progress (which I knew nothing about), now im all exited to collect the seeds and continue the cycle :D. Thanks!

@OutdoorsAndBotanical Жыл бұрын
They have to go in the fridge for a while before they will sprout as they need cold stratification. Unless the seeds are extremely fresh. They dont sprout in the fridge so they dont need the light until you take them out

Hello! I am a beginner at growing flytraps and made the unfortunate mistake of not reading labels and gave my flytrap distilled water for babies that had vitamins like potassium, they started to die and the traps fell off but the stems are still green. I purchased a gallon of pure distilled water, can I save my flytraps? Will I need new Pete moss/soil?

@@OutdoorsAndBotanical Don’t know where you heard that one. I can assure you however that is nonsense. They are very fussy with watering. Now I must attend to these 2 venus fly traps my aunty might have accidentally killed due to misinformation.
