I actually really like Liza’s 1996 voice. 1993-5 I don’t care for. It wasn’t until 1997 when she did Victor/Victoria that really ruined her…. If I had to choose my favorite Liza vocals by year… it would be the 1960s… 1972-1981, 1986, possibly 1989, and then 1990-1992, 1996, 2006-2009. 🤷♂️

This video, at the time, was illegal, a bootleg, lol, although the camera work leaves much to be desired. Funny, now everyone films the entire show with their phones. Things really have changed. One good thing, got to see this Liza concert. Thanks for sharing.

First time I have watched a Larry King interview. The fact that these two know eachother so well made it possible for him to ask some difficult questions but Liza gave an honest interview. She is a down to earth star that probably will never know just how much she is loved. A brilliant interview!

Read HP as an adult, at the time of release, only because my children were reading them. Now I was an avid reader as a child, you name an old school children's book and I've likely read it. I clearly remember reading the first chapter of HP and realising that I was witnessing a phenomena in real time. I knew without doubt the books would become as famous, or more, as TLTWATW for instance, and be read for generations. Very strange feeling at the time, not often you get to be there at the beginning and also knowing it's the beginning of something big/huge.

It's interesting hearing about early Hollywood interest then, and now we are well past the entire 8 movie series that has made billions with all the actors becoming stars in their own right.

Wow amazing woman, but it's so disheartening to hear how the entertainment industry used her and abused her and got her hooked on drugs. Even her own mother didn't protect her. I would say that's why she was late and had bad moods. Taking those uppers and downers messes with your brain chemistry too. And causes mood swings. I think she was on overload but they kept pushing her. Wow. Unbelievable.

As you probably know, "Cabaret" was originally written for Liza, but Hal Prince didn't want her. Talk about payback: America had to wait five years for the movie and for "Liza With a Z."

Typical show biz. I thought the same thing. He was contradicting himself. But I think Jo really enjoyed the time with the children. Not in a Donnie way.
