Do you put the chorus and mimiq pedals together to achieve the doubler effect? I am thinking about adding the mimiq pedal to my Pantera tribute chain as well.
@Voytek-Music-Tuition13 күн бұрын
Hey great question. I'm still experimenting at the moment. For me personally on my rig, I think I prefer saving the chorus for cleans and lead. Every amp is different though, and it's been fun seeing the difference. My Randall sounds ok with the pedal board, but I tried a Black Star in work and it was pure mud. I hope to have more of those types of comparison videos soon.

Never heard of DB effects but after looking around they only sell them on Temu. I wouldn't expect anything decent in the electronic devices for musicians from Temu. $15 for a brand new pedal is just too good to be true

They're based in the Philippines. This unit is $500 😐

@@ampedwales I wouldn't pay $500 for a whole guitar let alone one measly pedal

Imagine if all your pedals were that loud ! Jesus. Especially those mammoth pedal boards with like 20 pedals. You'd need two amps to get over that buzz! Is the attitude; "Well other pedal manufacturers pedals are dead silent so we can get away with having a vibrator on your board."?
@MrAngryReacts19 күн бұрын
Wow, that's shit ! Cheers bud, saved me a bit I was gonna buy a few from em! You're right, you couldn't pay me to put that on my board. That's ridiculous they sold it to you like that. Didn't they get the hint where it was going when they got the shipping information, and make it so it works with your electric? Why would anyone sell any audio equipment, that makes a racket like that, where you have to move to another country to use it. What a bunch of wankers.

Well, your video makes sense. That sound is a 60Hz transformer plugged into a 50Hz outlet.
@Voytek-Music-Tuition17 күн бұрын
So, despite the fact it was hand built, to order for the UK, you guys thinks that's fine for 450 dollars? I'm looking into something a couple of engineers I spoke said that 50hz transformer is backwards compatible with 60 but not the other way around. Also, if that's true, then the sticker that you guys put on the pedal saying 50/60 Hz is wrong. So you guys got the wrong colour wires to the plug, AND transformer!!! Why would you do this?! Amateurish.

Do you use reverb? If so where do you put it
@Voytek-Music-Tuition2 ай бұрын
Hey man. No reverb in the chain yet not sure if I will. If I did, I would try it both in front of the amp at the very end of the chain, and in the loop, again probably last after delay even. Judging by how the delay behaves in the loop versus in front of the amp I suspect the loop would be better. I read one source from a guitarist I respect (I forget who) who pointed out that the room reverb when loud enough will colour your sound as it is, reverb risks making it messy, and different rooms will colour your tone in different ways, so there really is no such thing as a perfect tone. Especially cranked, into an SM57, put through the PA and with an audience on top. The delay gives me a nice wet effect I'm after, in a controllable way. I've seen a Damage Plan picture of dime's pedal board and it looks like he had an Boss Dual Reverb/Delay pedal like an RV-6 at some point. No idea if he was using it as a delay or reverb. To my ear Dime's sound live is soaked in delay like Van Halen in parts, but judging from lack of mention in any Grady interviews, maybe they did that up front on the sound desk.

Thanks man! Means a lot, glad to hear I'm on the right track. I've been a drummer most of my life, played loads of gigs but never on guitar. Health and life issues kinda forced me into concentrating on guitar, even though theres still tough some days. But I'm loving it, and messages like this keep me going through the pain.

Where is your mimic doubler being placed in the signal chain?

At the moment, I have it as the last pedal in the effects loop.
