like 69, a year late... I am all into dirt oval now. I raced carpet pan in winters for years, but 1/8th buggy outdoor in summers. Now that Staub is my local dirt track, I'm ready to sell out of offroad.

Super cool. I just started oval racing but come from touring car part of the hobby and was curious why don’t these company come out with aluminum chassis for high bite? We basically use that for our cars with the exception of asphalt tracks, carbon has to much flex and thought that could be cool to design my own in that but that ain’t cheap or easy to work with.

Looking good! When I'm making shock towers etc, I normally 3d print them to test for fit but I think now I will be making cardboard ones with my laser instead. Great idea. Do you do the countersinking of the holes on the CNC or do them by hand?
@noeysdailydriven6 ай бұрын
Right now by hand but the rougher should be able to do them. I just need to test on some scrap pieces

I love sprint cars and am interested in the R/C car side. Where can I find an affordable one if I dont plan to race
@noeysdailydriven6 ай бұрын
There are several different dirt oval pages on facebook that have used cars for sale. Like many things, it’s always the initial cost that you have to get past when getting into the hobby.

Any suggestions for if I specifically want a sprint car?

do you want them more stood up normally?
@noeysdailydriven6 ай бұрын
It can make the car more responsive, it being shorter might create an issue. I plan to make a second shock tower i can put on with shocks laying in. “Tuning option “ pending on track conditions.
