It's only necessary to have them all the way back when bumping the dock, at run-of-the-mill customers. I'll go ahead and address this in more detail when I record my delivery vlog early tomorrow. And actually, my pickup vlog that has already been recorded, but not yet edited touches just slightly on this subject. I'll go more in depth when I make the delivery though. My truck is governed at 70, and I don't do more than maybe 60 in California. My ELD snitches on me to my company anytime I'm doing at least 5mph over posted for a certain amount of time anyway. Whatever you decide to try to tell them about me...they'll already know about anyway.

It definitely was different from the first time I was there. I know for sure the gorilla exhibit is different than I remembered it being before. And they were in the middle of renovating the orangutan side of that building, so we couldn't take the more direct route back to the exit.

It definitely isn't going to help. You were at JCT still when JCT started installing the infrared cameras in their trucks in 2018. We saw a good number of drivers quit over that.

KZfaq algorithms probably do have at least something to do with it. But why they're also suggesting so many videos of disgruntled Prime drivers and not more of a mix between current and former/soon-to-be-former drivers is another question. I think it's just the fact Prime also has a lot of lease operators and that they are also feeling the financial pinch from the current freight market conditions.

For some drivers, yes. I'm really not seeing any change at all, other than where some of my loads are going to/from. I'm still getting around 11K miles per month even with more than normal home time periods for appointments and events.

That's a good attitude to have. Then tell him to never BS with me again like he did about the bridge collapse. Telling a wild story that video evidence proves isn't true causes me to question everything he says now, and also gives me reason to question his motive for doing so (attention seeking behavior?). He's got nearly 30 years of trucking experience - more than 3x as much as me. I am sure he has plenty of legit trucking stories that he can relate without needing to tell BS ones like the bridge collapse story. Whatever the case, like I said in the vlog...I hope and pray that he recovers fully.

I wonder if the other driver was having a heart attack, then. A couple of years ago, my company lost one of its dispatchers to a car accident in the Tulsa area. In that one, she got hit head-on by a driver who suffered a heart attack while driving, then they crossed over into her side of the road and collided with her. Surprisingly, it seemed to not be severe head trauma that did her in, like most fatal crash victims do. I had heard that the damage to the car cut open her femoral artery and caused her to bleed to death.

I said I had no reason to doubt your own story. It's Charles' previous story about being on the Francis Scott Key Bridge right before it collapsed that causes me to not trust him anymore. But I will also say, I tend to do research on a lot of things and don't just believe every story told to me - regardless of how legit it is - and did try to find news articles or anything else related to Charles' recent incident. I can't find anything. I'm not saying it didn't happen. But I enjoy reading and getting full context on things. I learned long ago to never just hear only one side of any story. And just because I have reason to believe he got caught in a web of lies related to the bridge collapse, it doesn't mean I don't think he's a good person. We all have our issues. I certainly have plenty of my own.
