Well said. The issue isn't that VAR has been implemented. It's in the way it has been implemented in English football. VAR was introduced to cut down on the egregious errors by referees. Not to check if a player had an eyelash offsides in the build up, 30 seconds before the goal was scored. That & the protocols for how a VAR review is conducted are so chaotic! It still comes down to basic human error. Referees have become too reliant on VAR for fear of being made to look bad. And aren't taking the responsibility of getting calls right the 1st time.

3 players are required to be Goalkeepers, you are not allowed to bring less. I don't remember what country it was but they tried to register a non Goalkeeper as a Goalkeeper to get around this, FIFA did not allow this.

For these people there are only match days. They have no idea that even at the euros there is practice in between the matches, and that practice are still relevant for the tournament. Funnily the trend seems to shift to taking 4 goalies rather than two to a major tournament.

This was my era, I'm 55 and was immersed into the garments rather than fighting with my team Man City. I remember the cockneys in their Slacks & Shoes and big jumpers/ cardigans from Armani etc late 70s. I don't know who started the cult first be it Liverpool or Whatever but Manchester had and still has Top Top dressers. I remember my first day at secondary school wearing grey Farah's, Slazenger or Sabre v-neck jumper, and a pair of white inter squash trainers 81/82. Also don't forget Rasta's were hammering Pods, Gabicci jumpers, searchers and Piere Sangan sweaters. Every city had lads who knew the dance well before everyone with regards to the casual look, for example some Man City lads in the early 80s were wearing Pony Tracy Austin in pink with Ball jeans. Great to reminisce.👍🏽
