Years ago, they were called tattooists, now tattoo "artists", people that are ugly, and making others ugly with simple child like drawings calling themselves "artists". No talent people with huge egos.

You're apparent disgust with people who tattoo without an apprenticeship seems ignorant. I am a very good sketch artist / artist in general. I tried to get an apprenticeship years ago, and it seemed basically impossible. I couldn't even get anyone to look at my art.

@HollyAstralTattoo I do, and I am. That was the point. Trying to shame me out of my genuine feelings from real experience shows who you are. You're kind of the problem with the tattoo industry. Once people are in, they want to be Gatekeepers. Even if they were let in because.....

I kind of think that I won’t cover my scars when I get older(too young to tattoo myself.). I would say that I am proud of them. Not that I am proud that I cut myself, I am proud that I got over it,that I was working hard to stay sober. Stay strong y’all❤️

I already know one tattoo "slang" word - "tat". It is short for "tattoo" or "tattooing". It can also mean "tattoo design(s)". As a verb, it is possible to use "tat". This would mean "to tattoo", "to create a tattoo", or even "to do a tattoo design." For instance...... "As a hip-hop artist, he loved to tat in his own parlor to an average of 100 clients per month, mainly through flash designs." Or.....as a noun.... "This artist had made 200,000 tats on 200,000 clients--enough for a Guinness world record, perhaps."

Besides missing my curls and the versatility loose strands afford, my biggest issue with my dreads is the fact that they trap so much "grime." I started and have had mine through some of the worst years of my life and as I strive to clean up my act and let go of the past, I really feel like it's not only symboliclly but also hygienically beneficial, if not necessary, to drop the dead weight (esp. any these have accumulated despite clarifying/detox efforts) and start anew.

How did you become a tattoo artist? I want to become a tattoo artist like you and I draw my own designs but I don't know where to start. Where did you start to become a tattoo artist, what did you do first e.g. health care, design, etc? Advice would be much appreciated, thank you

Ive slowed down the speed and zoomed close up to your drawing. It is one of the BEST ❤instructions on the rose. Some people are complaining but on the iphone its so easy to get up front and center. Video is six years old and hopefully you’re still teaching. You’re excellent in showing the rose. Thank you so much. This also helps me with painting the rose 🌹 👏🏻

This is an old video but I’ve seen artists who don’t do tattoos sell “tattoo tickets” where someone can pay a and get permission for a tattoo artist to give them a tattoo of their work, would you do it then if that had that?

Lol, I'm getting my first tattoo in a few hours.... The appointment is in the evening and I've been having trouble sleeping for the last couple of weeks due to chronic pain in my knees... Oopsy XD also, I've heard that some artists don't like if you shave beforehand because they prefer to do it themselves for hygienic reasons :o now I'm wondering if I should shave XD

Been thinking about getting some tattoos to cover my scars up my use to cut myself when i was younger so a lot of my upper arm and bicep area is covered in scars im embarrassed to wear tank tops or short sleeve shirts around friends and family guy at work caught a glimpse of my arm and said it looks like i took a cheese grater to my arm ever since then i started wearing long sleeves to work, thing is ive never gotten any type of tattoo so this would also be my first time not sure what to expect or what to get

When i got the first part of my half sleeve done, my brother was with me (it’s kind of our thing to go with each other since we follow each others tattoo journey) and i remember my artist seeing my scars and asking what happened in the most gentle way possible. my throat got hot and tight and i guess he noticed because he said “we don’t have to talk about it” and proceeded to put the stencil on. the rest of my session was spent laughing and joking, and it really made me forget that it happened. I wish I had the courage to open up about it, but i’m glad he didn’t try to force it out of me. I told him i’d be coming back for the rest of my half sleeve and that’s exactly what i’m doing soon.

As cringey as this is, I watched your videos ALL throughout university and multiple awful jobs until I got the chance to pursue tattooing through an apprenticeship full-time. You helped me build a portfolio and grow. I then managed to attend and work at Cornwall Tattoo Convention in August 2023 after only 1 year in the industry and held the stall right next to you just by pure chance. Sorry I didn't say 'Hi', I was definitely secretly fan-girling the whole time! Surreal experience! Much love <3

Painless or rather unnoticeable compared to my emotional pain. Majoras Mask across the 'top' of my wrists (and some of the back of my hands) so that if I hold up my arms, palms of my hands toward my face and put my wrists together the two halves of the mask meet up and become the full image of the mask.
