I went to my cellphone provider and told them I want a lock on my simcard to prevent a Simcard hack. They told me they couldn't do it because my cellphone plan is too low. I would have to pay for a more costly top tier plan to do a simcard lock.

Rapid Reset = Prank Call + *66 <----- Minus the hours of uncontainable laugher Rapid Reset on the other hand... not so funny. Like when Caller ID came out and all of a sudden the person you pranked had your name and number and now they can prank you only a Rapid Reset is against a system is 400 million times worse. And if they did it back you (the attacker) yeah that would silence any laughter... ooohhhoooo.... Hey... there's a thought Rapid Reset Reply... YES PLEASE HACK BACK HACKS!!! For those who don't know what a prank call is do a search for Nephew Tommy, but don't try this from your phone - borrow a friends. HAHA

This was extremely interesting. I knew about the breadth of the content. I however was not aware of the proliferation and availability. That I found greatly disturbing. I just watched a video from PBS Nova about data collection and I'd like to see your take on this subject. I know data collection is a part of most apps across many platforms. Since most of us don't completely read through the terms of service we unwittingly give permission for the collection of very personal data. This was equally disturbing which is why I would like your opinions and suggestions on ways to mitigate such collection and redistribution of said data collection.
