The human element in this movie was something to behold. Now drop cutest, sympathetic cilhild, that can can cry on cue? AND THEN kill her mom? I'm 51, and while this is not my favorite movie, I think thnk this is the best movie I have ever seen.

it has been 30 years since the first movie. It will always be Brandon Lee's legacy, with or without this remake. I confess I am curious to see this rendition. Did we need it? No, we didn't. Is it a bad idea to make it? Also no.

No other Crow Movies can Top The Crow (1994) Original Movie. They could Imitate but never Duplicate. Brandon Lee's performance was Breathtaking and Extraordinary. And the Film was no Doubt Phenomenal all the way. Don't get me wrong!? I thought Bill Skarsgard is a Great Actor. He Portrayed "Pennywise" the Dancing Clown pretty well. They can do whatever they want, as long as they respect the Original. I guess I'll give it a chance and check it out. 🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛🐦⬛

@@BanterBabble Yes, the sandwich is good, but that’s beside the point. If you want to have believable unbiased reviews, you shouldn’t have or want any monetary compensation between you and the product. Just reviewing 101.

We aren’t looking for a sponsorship, we joke about it often because we are very aware that this review isn’t reaching Firehouse Subs or any other business of a product we discuss. If you want anyone to take your criticisms of something seriously, it’s best to make sure you have an understanding of the context of the content in question. I wouldn’t review anything critically if I’m not well versed on the creators typical bits, I would look pretty silly if I did that. Just reviewing 101.

The only thing that really bothers me about the series is the part about the aliens supposedly learning about the concept of stories/lying 40 years into the communication. I get that they're hivemind, which is cool, but they already gave humans a videogame with a story in it. How do they get the concept of a videogame with a story in it, along with so much else by then, but not the concept of telling a story or a lie? And how did the first storytime with human even go conversationally without the cult guy first explaining the concept of a story? Did he just start reading little red riding hood unprompted with no context? Have I misunderstood something, or will this apparent plothole get filled later?

3BP Netflix season 1 includes all 3 book characters (not exact book character 1:1 since 95% of them are Chinese in the books. However their character traits and background are intact). Book 1 = Auggie Salazar, Da Shi, Ye Wenjie, Mike Evans, Vera Ye Book 2 = Saul Durand, Raj Varmas Book 3 = Jin Cheng, Thomas Wade, Jack Rooney, Will Downing Episode 1-5 = Book 1 Episode 6-7 = first few chapters of Book 3 Episode 8 = first few chapters of Book 3 + first few chapters of Book 2 + final scene of Book 1

This is a cash grab capitalizing on name recognition. Eric and Shelly being drug addicts misses the mark. 27 people have been the crow, they should have chosen a different name. Honestly, if it wasn't Eric Draven, I'm sure there wouldn't be such a negative reaction. Brandon Lee died for that role, maybe don't step all over his legacy. The Crow did not need to be remade, the original was a masterpiece.

It was definitely something that you had to pay attention to. I received a few texts and felt that I had to rewind it. 😂 There is definitely a lot going on but I felt that the storytelling could have been a little less loose if that makes sense. There were times when every character seemed to be on their own mission or agenda but in the end, it all came around to where it was leading. I'm looking forward to future seasons. Definitely a unique story and plot.

You guys brought up a lot of the points which I also agree with. While I liked the movie, I didn't love it, and for a lot of the same reasons that you guys pointed out. Having the OG Ghostbusters is cool and all IF it helps advance the story, otherwise it's just pointless fan service. I feel like Afterlife did that but we had to wait until the end. It almost defeats the purpose to put them in the movie just because.

Rick Flair- the blueprint for every wrestler to aspire to. HBK- The founder of DX The Undertaker- the Streak won't be broken for at least 20 years. Quick side, Triple H gave all of these guys except Macho one of their top ten matches. Every single one of them.
@HalfAssBeerReview2 ай бұрын
Row 1. Stone Cold - flair and hogan hung on too long and tarnished what they had. Row 2 is harder between HBK and Hart I think HBK ultimately takes it for longevity, ability, and showmanship. Row 3 would be Macho. Rock is a close second, just ask on a different day. Taker licks boots and never should’ve dropped the streak. Row 4 is definitely Doink The Clown.

I don’t really object to doing a new adaptation of The Crow. But, this looks boring and generic. It has awful dialogue, and the delivery is flat. I’ll watch it, but I’m waiting for streaming.

Looks good to me. Im going to go see it. Its better than City Of Angels by miles and squashes the other two sequels. Im not comparing it to the original because there is no comparison to me. But it will stand on its own nicely against the quality of its fellow follow up films. Skarsgard fits this version nicely. Loved the music in the trailer it felt right for what I saw. And that look comes from another crow novel by James Obarr that was released in 1997. It was called The Crow Wild Justice. Long before there ever was a Jared Leto look. In this draven has dealt with a drug issue. That is in the original Obarr story as well. Was cut pretty much from the first film. And the action scenes are not Wick like. They are John Woo like. Where the first film got its action scene style from and so did the Wick movies. I am a hardcore original film fan. But to be critical of the acting you saw in this then you were not paying attention enough to the first film. Cops saying what the crap every time you saw them? Or T-Bird saying I cut you instead of I'll cut you when draven kills him in the alley......masterpiece acting if I ever saw I tell you hahaha....Lets get real. LEE carried that role like an 100 year old Joe Namath carrying the Atlanta Falcons to a super bowl victory in terms of an actor carrying his cast to the finish line with a win. And Lees legacy isnt just that first film. Its the whole franchise. That is his legacy also. And it should at least have decent films in it. Not shit like Salvation and Wicked Prayer.

I have no problem with reboots. Just like Christopher Reeve he will always be number one Superman. I did enjoy Man of steel. But that movie was handled with care. Brandon Lee will always be The Crow. The best ever. My problem with this trailer and possible depiction of the crow is the vibe/look is waaaaaay off from the graphic novel. Seriously do I have to say more… it’s a tragic story in many ways. This trailer doesn’t scream tragedy. It’s screams SEXY, MUSCLES, auto tune rap music, John wick knock off. It’s not James O’Barr unfortunately for true crow fans. Director of SIN City probably could of made a good crow movie
@dustinl58132 ай бұрын
Yeah modern muppets will love this movie. Brandon Lee is the crow. Just listen to the trailer music. Auto tune?… really?…
@granddaddyotaku6362 ай бұрын
5:30 Exactly, I think this point is precisely what any reasonable *Crow* fan is thinking. The trailer shows that the movie has potential to be good. But the fact that it's Eric Draven works against it so much. Eric was portrayed iconically by Brandon and ultimately that is the definitive version of that character, at least on film. The 1994 film is a cult classic. If they had done a new character in the same universe who happened to become The Crow it would have been so much better and most reasonable fans would have been up for a New Chapter in The Crow universe. But the fact that it's Eric Draven is an instant turnoff to alot of fans that feel this does not represent the film that have come to cherish. It's like changing the characteristics and motivations of Luke Skywalker in a remake.. ultimately remakes generally are not often well received. Sequels are often better, especially if they act as reboots Scream 5 acted as a successful Reboot which helped 5 & 6 become even more successful. They were stories set in the universe of Scream, rather than trying to remake the original story. Hope the movie is good, but very concerned with how they've decided to approach Eric Draven's story. We shall see 🤔
