The way you installed this 403 , is it the same way for the 1103 ?

I'm 5'10 and weigh 210. Would the Caribbean 12 work for me with only a 275 pound weight limit? I believe with the weight of the boat that capacityactually becomes 230 pounds, then add gear etc. Seems like that a very conservative weight capacity for a 12 foot boat?

@Headwaters adventure company you mentioned that the '06 is your customer's, im curious if you have done rudder work to it? I just bought a '99 yesterday in beautiful shape but the rudder doesnt kick down. Lots of vids of more recent hobie rudder repairs, havent found any info on these dinosaurs yet!

I was trying to decide which YakAttack box to purchase 13x16 or 16x16 for my new Old Town PDL 120 because I use Plano 3700s for lure storage. Now I know to order the YakAttack 13x16 will work for me fine. Thank you so much for the excellent video demonstration.

Yakattack is one of those companies that creates products that are almost complete. These bungees should have been part of the original design. Oh you have a problem with your tackle box falling over inside the Black Pack? No problem,we have a solution for a additional price,LOL

This is one of the better videos I've seen. My question is though for my helix chirp Gen 3, which is 2D Sonar and not side imaging or down imaging. Does that also get mounted to the underside of the plate? It is a XNT 9 HW T. Any help would be appreciated.
@Larry777773 ай бұрын
My choice will come down to weight, regardless of price. Personally, I'm 125lbs and I cartop a fixed seat 55lb Tarpon 100 presently. Caribbean 12FS: Is the weight 45lbs without the seat? Lite Tackle II: Is the weight 75lbs without the seat? Moken 12.5 V2: You stated the weight 85lbs is without the seat.

You should put everyone's social media and KZfaq channels in the description. But great video. I want to save up and get into kayak fishing. Cheaper and easier than getting into boat fishing. And as a bank angler it's always such a hassle trying to find good spots that aren't 4 miles away from posting area that aren't pressured. I come from fishing the Delta for blue gill and catfish so admittedly I'm not huge into bass fishing.

I have an old town predator pdl. Bought an mk 106 last fall and a 100 amp Lifepo battery. I love the mk 106. It’s fast, light, stable and I can fish 8 hrs a day and only use 75% of charge. It really is a great kayak. The predator is great for the Great Lakes but I use the mk way more.

This is one of the coolest concepts I have seen for a kayak. It is really awesome. But am I the only one kind of disappointed with everything other than the pedal drive? Just looks really basic just doesnt look like 6 thousand dollars to me.

It’s nice that they’re really installing it for you electrically, but it’s showing extremely in pricing. Also where you can really purchase a cheap side motor if that you want for for cheap separately and not have to pay double for the kayak. But great if you can afford it.👍🏼🤷🏽♂️
@Headwatersadventure5 ай бұрын
Definitely a good choice if you can afford it, it’s an innovative product and will hopefully the price will change with different iterations.

Great video - looks straightforward and thought out. I own a PA 14 - I'm wanting to set it up in nearly the exact build. I fly fish almost exclusively, and fish mainly for stripers in the Delta, and all other land-locked lakes where they have been introduced around the Bay Area. I need/want the Torqeedo for long point a to point b runs, and want/need the xi3 to keep fly contact in wind, current, or other things that interfere with line management and contact with the fly. Based on where I fish the most - I think a 100aH battery for the xi3 would provide all day boat management, without battery anxiety. Similarly I would want a pair of Torqeedo batteries to make sure I can get back from a longer run in the Delta or on a lake like San Luis. Of course the Mirage drive would be onboard in case all other forms of propulsion fail. x This all seems like a LOT of weight on the PA14 - and how it is set up seems critical to maintaining the stability of the boat. I would love to see a video of a PA14 (if you've made one) fully rigged OTW to see how the boat sits both at rest and underway.

Great review! QQ on pairing with the jacket- I'd like to be able to fish in heavy rain during the winter, I noticed you have the jacket under the bibs, wouldn't the rain run down the jacket and into thr bibs? Do the bibs have some kind of double cuff on the inside?

Geeez… I have this boat. My god I can’t stay in the thing. I’ve been dumped in flat water, slow moving water. I took 1 stroke and bumped into an unseen rock and dumped everything. Sitting in still shallow water I barely reached down to pick up a rock and was dumped. Slow Moving water and I was pinned against a boulder and was dumped. 🤦🏻♀️ I have a wilderness tarpon and fish out of it and never fallen out. I cannot stay in the crescent. 😂 I would never paddle in the crescent in colder weather. I know it’s my poor skill level but still. I mean I can’t do a headstand on the ground so…

I own a Feelfree Moken. It is a great kayak. I’ve fished marshes, lakes and coastal areas with it. Last year I competed in a local charity fun kayak race in it. With all that said I plan on keeping my Moken. But I’m looking for something a little faster for future fun races

I like that the Lite tackle II uses standard gear track and is the easiest to add a motor to. I love the Moken but, not the proprietary gear track which require adaptors. :(

The proprietary tracks that FeelFree uses can sometimes be a pain. We have actually been swapping the FeelFree tracks out with YakAttack tracks for customers lately.

Nice Bryan! Just started to fabricate motor mount for NK180 on my Shoalie using Yakattack Mighty Mounts at I mentioned when I picked up the kayak from you. Looking clean and easier to take off rather than messing with the drilling holes in the stern and trying to tighten the nuts by jamming them with a screw driver.

That's awesome! Glad you were able to figure out a quick way to mount and remove the motor.
