Angle grinders will make quick work of these. All locks do is keep honest people honest. If a thief wants your bike, he's gonna get your bike. The only good locks are very expensive locks that take many several minutes to cut through with a grinder where a thief would get tired of cutting and give up or avoid the bike thinking not worth it. But even then the easier option is to cut the pole they're secured to, or even the bike frame itself can get cut if the components are expensive enough.

Princes Hwy at Stratford to Bairnsdale is a TOTAL DISGRACE. The vicroads barriers are criminally dangerous. One slip and you've written off your car. No room for broken down trucks or cars to pull over. No room to avoid wildlife. The road surface is black so you can't see anything at night. And the east bound undulating surface - a result of cheaply gluing the new road onto the verge of the older one - something that has never been fixed - constantly pulls cars left and right. Whoever approved this downgrade should never work in traffic again. I loath this road.

You don’t need to speed to be in front of another vehicle. And even if they are speeding, allow them to pass anyway.

Yes you’re right, but only for slow moving traffic, merge and turn, rule 134 of the Highway Code. At higher speeds, you both have to be courteous but it reverses.

@@tgm9991 Completely incorrect. There is no such thing as ‘right of way’ in the UK Highway Code, you will not find those words in that book. In a situation like this neither vehicle has priority over the other. Merging-in-turn is recommended. That is UK rule. For common sense purposes, giving way to whichever car is ahead is best as it aids best flow of traffic.

I almost lock my bike like this but I also lock the front wheel U lock to frame so the bike is locked to something solid by 2 U locks by it. Just saying that what you just showed isn't the most efficient way to use 2 U locks.

Whats the diff of the lock is on the back triangle or in the top tube? Does your top tube come apart? If they are cutting it off, the placement isn’t going to change that. And hey if you got 20 locks on your Walmart bike, we all are gonna laugh at you. If you got a bunch of locks on your $10k bike, we are also gonna laugh, when old dude run up on you with a gun after you take the last lock off and says thanks for the new bike. If your bike is too expensive it’s like wearing that much in gold. Now your life is in danger. Any bike over 500 bucks isn’t worth having unless you’re ridding in private places. So MTB parks or velodromes. I can take your bike apart and even paint everything scratch off the serials and say I got them form Aliexpress and sell the thing for 1/2 the price today. Quick money and I no longer have the merch.
