Oh, that is a BEAUTIFUL redbone hound - and that is also SO like a hound ... to go after the ball the first time you throw it, bring it back a few feet, then drop it ... and the second time you throw it ... run to it, take a sniff, realize there's 'nothing to it', and then just leave it to head back to you ... perhaps stopping mid-way, because there's an interesting scent in the grass ... hounds, by far and large, are NOT retrievers, and just don't see any sense in that game ... lol! Gotta love 'em ...

This is a perfect example of the love and potential of a rescued animal. There are wonderful dogs (and cats, and rabbits, etc.) who end up in shelters that just need love and attention to really thrive. Every pet needs love and attention, and knowing that you've literally saved their life in the process is so rewarding. Thanks for a great video!
