Unfortunately I bought one of these last week, installed it into my f250 diesel with dual batteries, left it on all week, exactly one week later went out to my truck, tried to crank it, completely dead. Not even enough current left in the batteries for the horn to honk. 400 dollars later, replaced both batteries. Not sure if I wanna keep this thing plugged in again, or junk it. Not much of a maintainer, atleast not for my scenario.

Here’s an old trick - If your still having no luck, grab some jumper-leads and a good battery, connect the jumper-leads + - + & - to - then put the battery charger leads on the dead battery, this will trick any charger to believe it’s above 10v and will start charging…✌️

My friend gifted me both the NOCO Genius 1 and 10 for my SUV. I rarely drove before, (I worked 3 miles away) but since I lost my job I only drive when needed and my battery kept dying. I have a new, fully charged battery now, and asking you if the Genius 1 is sufficient to maintain my regular lead acid 12V battery? It's currently hooked up to the Genius 10 but I'm thinking the 1 should be enough to just keep the battery healthy since I so rarely drive anymore?

@@raymondsiu thanks for reaching out, that is a great question! Based off my local Mercedes dealership there was no reset/ or computer relearn needed for the battery replacement. @@mattsmith1051 Yes that is correct on most vehicles. Mercedes dealers local confirmed no Mercedes in my line up AMG W204 R170 SLK X204 and the W177 A class does not require any reset or relearn of the computer charging system. I assume they are correct as I can't see them turning down easy money. As far research as I could find there's no Mercedes ICE that requires any relearn for a standard 12v battery replacement.

What's the best thickness for m272 engine? Is it 10-40??
@FullThrottleBHP
@FullThrottleBHP Ай бұрын
Thanks for reaching out, I hope you enjoyed the episode. Oil viscosity will heavily depend on your climate/area the vehicle is located. For most of North America Mercedes recommends 0W40 to 5W40 for oil viscosity. In this episode I had used 5W40 as it will give a bit more protection. The most import thing in my opinion is to use an oil that is approved my Mercedes. This ensures the oil has all required additives to reduce wear and corrosion inside the engine. I hope this helps and be sure to leave a like and subscribe. Your support is greatly appreciated 🙏 - Full Throttle

Why u put oil in the filter hole 🕳????
@FullThrottleBHP
@FullThrottleBHP Ай бұрын
That is a great question, there is a couple reasons for this. It can take the oil a bit quicker then pouring in the oil fill cap. The second and most important reason is I will fill that reservoir with oil, as you could see it takes a little time to drain into the engine. While it is full I'll lower the new oil filter into the oil slowly. This will "prime" the filter to ensure when you start the engine the oil filter is already saturated with oil. This reduces the chance of oil being delayed to the engine internals - Full Throttle

So my 12V regular size car battery (SC400 Lexus V8) died the other day (car sits a lot and battery is 5 years old) and had to jump it. Drove about 20 miles and hooked Noco Genius-1 up. After 48 hours still slow red blink (less than 75%). Is that normal? (battery is 5 years old). Should I give it a few more hours or just get a new battery? I saw on your chart Genius-1 takes up to 60 hours for a car battery, so I guess I should just let it continue?
@FullThrottleBHP
@FullThrottleBHP 12 күн бұрын
I apologize on the delay of my response. From what you described it does not surprise me to hear you still had a red blinking light after 48 hours. Did you find the charger ever showed fully charged indicator light? I find even with the vehicle sitting the charger can drop from fully charged green to flashing red as the computers and electronics constantly use power. That is one down side with the Noco 1 it is only 1amp/hour so can take a very long time to charge a battery from dead or low voltage but is perfect for maintaining vehicles between drives. - Full Throttle
@shrimpu
@shrimpu 12 күн бұрын
@@FullThrottleBHP Thanks. It finally did get to green flashing then green solid. However, even turning on the lights makes it jump back to red and then green again. I think it's time for a new battery and then keep it maintained with the Noco. Right now I have an older Noco connected to it (which I had forgotten I had) which does 3.5 amp/h. It remains green for now.
