Thanks for this tip! Just a heads up - I didn't have any luck with tapping the RADIO #2 fuse you mention in the vid, or the ECU fuse you mentioned in the comments - neither of those seem to have power with the key off (at least on my 2003 SR5). Using a test light, I identified POWER NO. 2 - 3rd row in, bottom fuse - 25a - as having power even with the key off, supposedly this circuit is for the front door lock system. I tapped this one and ran a wire over to the PWR OUTLET fuse and now all 3 of my outlets (2 up front, 1 in the trunk) are hot all the time! Super stoked for this as I'm about to go on a camping trip this weekend and now I can charge my phone while I'm hangin out

The fact they would have you climb through that storage area to winterize it shows how little they care about the customer 😂

It was about 11:30 at night on Saturday when my son saw his brake lights staying on. Your video gave me the temp fix needed until I could get the part or find a substitute. Thank you so much from a mom who is not a mechanic!

Little bit more in fuel ?? 😏 toyota fan boys cant count . My bmw x5 gets 23-26mpg my friends 4runner gets 15-17. If you actually count its about 10k$ over only 100k miles . Basically you buy slow and boring car but at the end in reality any modern car would cost you less over many years even if its not as reliable. DO THE ACTUAL COUNTING . Thats why toyota fan boys never talk numbers !!!

Thank you so much.. I have a 2002 honda crv and it did the same thing. Checked out your vid and it was that. I saw plastic parts on my floor mat. I put a piece of cardboard with tape until I stop by autozone to pick up the part.

Same situation here...I was headed to work, came out to start up truck, and had no power... ok I thought, get my battery pack charger and charge my battery. Didnt notice my brake lights were on until it became dark outside... Then I scratced my hea s puzzled to what waa was going on. Checked fuses like one would do first, all checked out... Searched out youtube and saw your video... I laughed so hard when you mentioned the little green plastic pieces... Thats exaclty what I saw on my floor board the afternoon before.... I thought it was something I stepped in and didnt think twice about it..... I piked up the pieces and threw them away.... Now I know.... I feel excited now.... Thanks for your video Sir....

Mine is rattling as well, from the same place, i got a outlander 2020 with 90 hours on the clock. That shit is embarresing for Can Am. Wonder if the fact that it is made in Mexico has anything to do with it. Surley they must test theese before they are shipped out. I noticed on a few forums that they sound like this brand new. Thx for the info, ill check the spring tomorrow.

If the plastic is there then you can't do this.. so I'm guessing this is after you have gotten it open . Or fixed

I think I missed something, why are you including the cable with the install of the bypass? So that you can open from the inside? I am thinknig about getting this but I prefer not to install the cable
@natevanlandingham194526 күн бұрын
Just leave the cable off then.
@whatcanilearnhere9158Ай бұрын
same here with rear door latch. i got the amazon metal one and the arm that pulls the cable bent. i took it out and slightly over bent it back, and fastened the cable more securely to the door panel to get a little stronger pulling angle. have been gentle with it and its been working great.

Thank you so much this was also the problem with my car but instead of the rubber falling off , the little switch has dug a hole thru the rubber making it not press down!
