Gramps lived on BIG Sauk since 1932. We been going up my whole life. I just fried some PIKE today. Alexander I personally never fish. But I'm retired I will be now. Glad I know my way around.

Hey Mike - wondering about the really clear lakes up in Alex, like Ida. How deep do those walleyes go this time of year in the really clear lakes? I don't like fishing much over 30' and typically have to wait until low light hours and fish them near the weed edge. I love trolling leadcore but maybe I need to pick a different lake?

Josh, I am hearing of fish as deep as 40 feet on IDA right now, they get a lot deeper than that as we get into fall too. Tough situation!

Hey Mike, I fish the chain every august with family. Never heard of basin trolling - I have lead core line. What’s the best couple lakes on the chain for a medium novice to experiment with basin trolling?

@@tk1227I would not recommend experiment on the chain if I were a novice, but rather go to a lake like Reno with a more expansive, uniform basin

Great video Jeff. I hope that retirement is going well for you. Up until now, I have been using the RV transducer mounted on the transom of my '88 BW Super Sport 15 which I have rigged with a Terrova. When fishing, I network an Axiom 7 RV MFD in the bow to the helm mounted Axiom Pro 9 RVX. I'm now thinking about interfacing the Terrova's built in transducer to the Axiom 7 RV MFD. How have you found it to work for you?
