Don't listen to Dave for investment advice. It is horrible. Use The Simple Path to Wealth by JL Collins. Dave is great for getting out of debt. Dave sucks at investing advice. Learn when to kill your guru/Buddha.

Fantastic book right there 💯 Agreed that Dave Ramsey is helpful for getting out of debt & getting one's financial house in order. JL Collins' simple investment approach of largely focusing on VTSAX (with the addition of VBTLX, esp. in the later years) is excellent 🏆 Thanks for mentioning this!

@@larrylarry3549 - Best approach is likely... a. Creating a budget that eliminates unnecessary expenses so you have as much money left over as possible. Once that's in place, then... b. Focus on ways to increase income so you can get more money coming in each month. Finally... c. Practice getting in the mental & emotional state of already living in the house you want, then acting from that state. It's pretty amazing how life starts to change once you live _from_ the end result rather than just thinking _about_ it. Living as if you were already a homeowner puts your mind to work in a superhuman way...you start to get ideas / see opportunities / meet the right connections / etc. more often. It causes a change in identity, and that causes changes in behavior that lead to taking new actions...ultimately bringing you to outcome you want.
