The "back lock" and/or lockback is stronger than frame locks and liner locks, but there all decent if well made I think...

I agree that the lockback is usually stronger but my Father-in-law had one fail and he was seriously injured. On the whole they are usually more reliable though. Thanks for commenting and watching. Cheers

It’s always fascinating for me to watch these kinds of reviews on cheap knives, they are not something I’d carry and trust…… but I have several cheap knives in the collection to hand to people when they need a knife 😂 I’m not handing them an expensive blade to screw up. All that being said if you’re new to knives or like you said on a strict budget, (even though this brand has gone the way of gas station quality) their warranty has always been good if my memory serves me right.
@thecanadianedge1
@thecanadianedge1 5 күн бұрын
I agree. I don’t like handing my good knives to inexperienced or careless people. I will hand them a cheap knife. I haven’t had any previous experience with Camille’s but I understand they used to make good knives. This one seems fine but it is definitely not the same quality as many of my other knives. It is a good knife for gifting though which is likely what I will do with it. Thanks for commenting and watching. Take care.

Until recently I had been living and working in South Carolina, now back in Alberta and traveling back and fourth to SC. It blows my mind on cost difference of knives in the US as opposed to Canada even with the exchange rate. I have the iridium, it’s a great knife for my collection. I wish they would have done it with S45VN steel or even S30,S35, magnacut. D2 while a great budget steel is pretty bland in today’s knife market. Heck you know it’s bland when the gas station Chinese quality knives are using it now. Therefore the iridium is in my collection but my daily carry for the last six months has been the Benchmade Freek in CPM M4. Good video!

@@thecanadianedge1 most of my collection is sadly still in SC. Legally as far as bringing them back…… I’m not sure. And they are not so thin like all the civic out there, and half the price. I would trust this in the woods any day over a civivi qubit. Although the qubit has its place. Buck kept this knife cheap by making it in china. I would love to see buck make a nice aluminum handled 3 inch button lock flipper. Sleek and slim but not too slim for a edc, and American made.
