Was this the Pencil cob corn?
@WilliamPinkerton12 ай бұрын
That was in the area of our standard field corn. I don't remember the exact variety, but it was either Dekalb or Progeny

Are you raking across the rows that you cut? I have the same rake but I am not sure how to use it.
@WilliamPinkerton12 ай бұрын
With the 256 Rollabar, you can usually get away with crossing cut rows pretty well. Every once in a while, it will leave some hay crossing a row - but it's not bad.

We have a 6320 on our farm. It has around 5000 hours and has been a good tractor with few problems. How about yours?
@WilliamPinkerton13 ай бұрын
Ours has done great. We have had a few issues mainly due to age, but it is a very good machine.

When was the last tune up? Have you changed out the driveline fluids? Cleaned the MAF/ MAP/ AIT sensors? How about a update

I have a 648. Twine only. Auto wrap. Pretty much identical to your baler. Mine struggled sometimes starting a new bale. Especially, in dry thin hay. Have to watch to see if the hay gets started flowing into the bale chamber. If it hesitates. Have to clutch a second. Give the stuffer bar time to push it on back so the hay gets started turning in the bale chamber. Once it starts. Just about impossible to get it to plug. BTW, that is some cool video of the twine arms working. Enjoyed that! 👍

Why didn't you install a hydraulic pump on the outside of the frame rail driven by a sprocket on the crank shaft, position of the clutch is of no concern? Should have a wide front end.
@WilliamPinkerton1 Жыл бұрын
We were trying to make the cleanest looking install possible. Using the factory lift-all location kept a more modern looking pump hidden.

No hate whatsoever bc this rig gets beans in the ground. But man that 5075e doesnt look as good pulling that than a 4020 or 4230 would.

Don't know if this is the same add on but I remember driving a Super MD with the additional gears. You couldn't use it with the PTO because it increased the PTO rpms too. A brush sounded like it was going to fly away.
@WilliamPinkerton1 Жыл бұрын
Possibly is. A Super MD is a really cool tractor

How are you liking that cutter I’m looking at getting a GMD 3551 TL and would like your opinion on it
@WilliamPinkerton1 Жыл бұрын
They are absolutely great. You can cut a lot faster than with a 3 point mower, and the transport is much easier. The maintenance is really easy. The only downside is because of the way the cutter bar floats. It doesn't do as clean of a job cutting. Other than that, everything is awesome.

I haven't thought about selling it yet. I was planning on transplanting the 301 to my F2, but I would probably entertain selling it for parts

How has the Kuhn trailed mower held up since 2019? Does it hug the ground pretty good when mowing fast...asking because I never mow slow in familiar fields. Currently using a Reese drum mower that teds in the same pass. That thing will cut as fast as you can stay in the tractor seat.
@WilliamPinkerton1 Жыл бұрын
We've had it since 2012 and haven't had issues so far. It floats pretty good, but the faster you go the cut isn't as clean because it doesn't have time to drop back to the ground after going over a contour . Then again, we have the springs wound pretty tight to make sure it glides as much as possible.

4320 was one of the best John Deere tractors ever made, there is a big difference between a feild cultivator and a plow, this feild cultivating big difference, but love watching real tractors work
