Did you have to prime the pump with water before you started it?

Does it matter if the water strainer is up down or sideways? In your video the looking Glass on the water strainer is pointing down.

Every time I start my generator it runs for 1 minute and shuts off. I wait a few seconds and restart it. And it runs for hours with no problem. What's wrong?

Just wanted to thank you for the easy to follow video. I just changed out the Ford factory speakers in my 2021 Ford E-450 Coach House 272xl. Ordered a set of the Pioneer TS-D68F from Crutchfield and they included the adaptive ford wiring plugs for free. No soldering or crimping required. Easy peasy.

Thanks for the great video. I am doing this to my 2019 Forest Ri er Forester. The only difference is I will not splice wires. I will use Metra 72-5600 Ford Speaker Harness 1998-UP that may be an easy plug and play direction. If the speaker harness doesn't work I will go ahead and splice. Great video brother. Very clear and calm DIY walk through.

Thanks for the video about the speakers. I noticed the curtain in your cab area - is that on a track where you can slide the curtains out of the way quickly? - If you have any info on that, I would appreciate it. Thanks,

Great video for the RV community. Is that a stock powered mirror you have there? if not, can you provide model number? my ford e-350 chasis does not come with a powered mirrow, been looking for a compatible powered mirrow to swap it out.

I actually bought the head for this model and installed it the other day here in my camper van and it's dead silent but that's cause I'm using the accumulator tank and adjusted the bypass and pressure settings on it plus I'm using all steel braided lines and plastic fip tees and couplings no clamps no pex nothing like that I perfected how it's all done and so did eco neato Eric talaska

Thank you for the post... I was just about to order a new pump, but you mentioned that some pumps wont come on unless the water is going.. HAHAHA... well guess what, My system was pressurized from putting water in the tank, and I just flipped the lever from tank to city.. So when I turned on the pump nuttin happened.. You mentioned to turn on the water... I did... and there you have it.. stupid brain from winter and not camping that time.. Well, thanks for the post, you saved me some minor work and $70.00

Have you ever considered replacing the power reclining sofa with rv recliners ? If I were to purchase a used class C rv that is the first upgrade I would do myself. Do you think this is a good idea ?
@Trekwithus

Actually yes! The only reason we didn't do it is because the sofa turns into a queen bed and we sometimes had guests. Otherwise I think it's a great idea!

I have a brand new 4K. I need to run it at 75% power for two hours. Suggestions on what to add to the AC to get to 75% power? A toaster oven perhaps?
@Trekwithus
@Trekwithus 3 жыл бұрын
Depends on how much power your AC is rated to pull, but either a microwave, toaster, or space heater should do it. Assuming 1500watt single AC and 1250w - 1500w appliance = 3k/4k = 75%.

I am more than willing to watch a longer video that actually shows you cutting and crimping wires, matching screw holes and huffing, puffing and cursing if you did any of that. This is not for a complete novice, this is for people who have already gone thru that awkward stage of stripping wires successfully, crimping with a tool, (which tool you do not show), seeing that you made a new connection with the black ground but not how you attached the new red power wire..so now I have to go hunt for a more novice friendly video. My first thumbs down rating ever..
@Trekwithus
@Trekwithus 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mary - I never said the video was for a complete novice. I'm assuming some basic knowledge of hand tools which isn't unreasonable for a DIY repair. If you don't feel comfortable stripping wires - and don't know what a wire stripper looks like or how to use one - then I would recommend against DIY projects like this. Bad electrical connections can cause a fire.
@kleenmary7060
@kleenmary7060 3 жыл бұрын
@@Trekwithus thanks for the response. I can be handy with a few tools, stripping wires was just perfected by me from a handy KZfaq video I watched after yours skipped that part. So when they promised to show me stripping wires and showed me stripping wires I did not feel misled by a do it yourself tutorial video that assumes you kind of all ready know how to do the only tricky parts already. I was not allowed to take either shop or auto mechanics in high school. That has cost me a lot of money over my long life. You should give the girls a break and show what you take for granted your audience already knows. And I note from the comment section that others were also asking questions about what you skipped over..so just saying, it’s a fair critique.

@@kleenmary7060 Hi Mary - I think your solution - finding a video that teaches you how to strip wires - is better than every video that includes wire stripping to spend time explaining how to strip wires. I've been more thorough in the past and get complaints that I'm spending too much time 'going over the basics', so it's difficult to make a video that works for everyone. I hope you were able to get your pump replaced successfully, and good luck in the future!
