Excuse me while I gush about Guild Wars 2, Guild Wars 2 is filled with some AWESOME tracks. It's OST is much more atmospheric than other MMOs like Final Fantasy XIV, but I love both all the same. For hype bombastic anthems I turn to FFXIV, and for atmospheric orchestral music. Some of my favorites for atmospheric/calmer music: Tengu Village - Maclaine Deimer The Olmakhan - Maclaine Diemer Tarir, the Forgotten City - Lena Chappelle Winds of Change - Michael Choi The Jungle Provides - Maclaine Deimer Some of my favorites for battle music: Attack on Tarir - Lena Chapelle Sands of Chaos - Brendon Williams The Cycle Ends - Lena Raine The Beast Emerges - Maclaine Diemer/Bobby Rose The Largos Twins - Maclaine Diemer/Lena Raine And honestly all of the expansion themes are worth a listen, Heart of Thorns, Path of Fire, End of Dragons, and Secrets of the Obscure. (End of Dragons and Heart of Thorns are my personal favorites!)

Baiken was always my favorite character in Guilty Gear since I saw her in Missing Link. I love her Momentary Life theme better but this is my second fave Baiken theme because of how it captures her journey and how far she's come since her first appearance. On that note, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the old GG themes if ever you do get the chance to listen to them.

I genuinely love this song so much. It quickly became one of my absolute favorite songs. I absolutely adore how much of a story this song tells. Like, we genuinely end in a completely different place than we started and that evolution of the chorus leading to the "No, don't stand still!" and finally dropping the title of the song, actually still moves me to tears, a lot of times, although I expect the hay fever making my eyes burn is helping a lot, too. Also, making buddhist/shinto chanting into a metal song goes so hard. I love this song.

The chanting is the Mantra of Light, historically used for many things in Japanese Buddhism, notably during funerals.

This and The Town Inside Me were in my top 10 most listened to songs on Spotify last year. Really amazing song.

PLEEEAASE Do Leo Whitefangs theme, "Hellfire"! Its sooooo good and it's real meaning is so interesting for what was initially (Before Guilty Gear Strive, when they didn't have vocal tracks) an incredibly boring character, at least lore wise.

most of them are musics bruh; and if you never played the game, familiar of it, or got used to it, it's quite hardly to even make u cry,.. i was actually quite looking for sad ending with sad songs(explains why im here) xD lol

a couple of funny things with Baiken and this theme, since people have covered a lot of the more deep stuff already: - the intro to this song is so long that it's not unusual for a round (if not the whole fight) to go down in the time it takes for the song to really kick into gear - her... curvaceous-ness in this game is likely another indicator of her mellowing out and taking care of herself more... in the 2D Guilty Gear games, she was much thinner, and her clothes were simpler and rattier (she didn't even wear an eyepatch back then), to the point that she was easily confused for Rurouni Kenshin (the character she was based on at first) - I bet you didn't notice that she only has one arm, LOL

4:00 IMO, the best part of The Great Ace Attorney's OST is Gregson's Theme (the Rival of the Great Detective). But, that's just me. :)

this is my fav song from the game, it's so dynamic, the riffs are so fucking THICK and the ending is so uplifting i get chills every time i hear it. so funny you rarely get past the intro in game

I gotta admit I fight the Narval because of the music. I can see a lot of criticism towards the edm, but that part is „for me“ felt really dope, especially because of the fight after being swallowed by the whale 🐋.

Pedro Comacho is pretty good. I especially like some of the outlaw tracks, I think he did those as well. Squadron 42, whenever that comes out, is composed by Geoff Zanelli, who composed some key tracks in Pirates of the Caribbean and other films; they work with Hans Zimmer often.

The chant is the Mantra of Light of Buddhist tradition. It's a prayer given to the deceased to remove a soul's senses and connection to the world to free them for a better reincarnation. To leave all their "vexations" behind and move on to a new life. Basically, the song is about Baiken "killing" her old self, sacrificing her vengeance and pain on the hope that her new life free from such "vexations" will be a better life, to move forward as a "mirror of the world", or the present, instead of being a "ghost of her name" locked within the past. It's a hopefully prayer for a better future after a journey of doubt and fear of losing what drove her.

You missed the key line. "Feel the weight of what we owe". Fortuna is a mining colony of indentured servitude, basicly slaves. Spending generations paying off their debt. Expeciall as their bodys break and they need to buy expensive augmentation to keep working. Becoming the near robots you see in game.

Baiken's story in Strive is such a big part of the song it's a shame you missed it. Protecting the Japanese colony only takes you to the guitar solo, everything after that is from strive. Biaken meets a little girl who has lost her whole live to violence and has resolved to seek revenge against the perpetrator, That Man. Basically she is a "Mirror" of Baiken as a child. Baiken, knowing the choices she has made and where that has led her, knows what awaits this child if she walks the same path that she walked. And so, Baiken, who has lived her life for vengance makes a choice to save this child. "My Vengeance will be sacrificed. Pain kill the pain. The hardest road lies ahead. I will be a Mirror of the World!"
