Peeter Pikka (nüüd aastaid töötu ja jamad alagsi HP ajal ...!): I have been sharing (alone) the idea that using HPGM ITSA in ITIL/ITSM projects could have been one of the trigger idea behind IT4IT ...? Lars Rossen Author SVP & Chief Architect @ OpenText 1y Hi Peeter, There were many triggers behind IT4IT, and as with most good framework it builds on top of other earlier ideas/frameworks. Personally I loved the ITSA method for its simplicity. I also liked the combination of ITSA and eTOM as a method (ITSA) and a reference architecture (eTOM) to deliver solutions in the telecom space, like what we did with HP ISM practice. What I was missing was a reference architecture that worked in the IT space, that could be used with ITSA or TOGAF, and that did not have the Telecom flavor, and was vendor neutral. There were also a number of other reference implementations outside HP that was an inspiration for IT4IT, not least in Shell and some of the other founding members of the IT4IT work group. That said you should be proud of having been a lead in the EMT ISA implementation, it was great work we did in the telco business of HP, which btw was founded on work we did in Digital back in the 90th around TeMIP :-)
