skyrise was really clean auction game. the area majority and placements and tokens... a lot of layers however very smoothly done.

Mission Fun and Games is amazing. The staff is so helpful as well. I've spent hours of my life there and almost always leave with something. Also Rallyman is amazing

I like Le Havre. A bit long though in the Advanced mode. Especially with more than 2. Uwe is my favorite designer though and I love Caverna, Agricola and A Feast for Odin

I am puzzled by River city. They have lots of games, not just family style, and a few I don't see in other shops too often. But their prices are so high that I find it impossible to ever consider purchasing from them. The same goes for many gamers I know,. So I wonder who they sell to.

Res Arcana is one of my faves! And I used to have Acquire, also really good, and got me into similar heavier games with similar mechanics (Chinatown, Lords of Vegas, Bunny Kingdom, and eventually Foundations of Rome).

Yay! Glad Dwellings of Eldervale is a hit. Here's my challenge to anyone that sounds like they are concerned with the set up time. Is there another game that is similar in terms of game play complexity that you can set up and get playing faster than Dwellings of Eldervale? Early on you raved about the storage, quick set up is a big reason why those trays are in the box. The set up is so fast. Hand people a player tray, shuffle some cards and tiles, then play. Enjoy. :)

I assume the tray will help with setup. I was saying I habent set it up myself yet. When I played, it was done for me. We only had an hour or so left in the game night and didn't think we could squeeze it in if I didn't know how to set it up. Had we had longer, it would have made it to the table. It's such a great game.

Dwellings is my favorite game of all time. I play solo a ton. There are so many great combinations that you will find while playing. Each faction is different, and mixed with a random setup makes each game you play so unique. Thank you for sharing your excitement!

Wow, there are 4 games on your lists that I haven't tried (Gugong, Destinies, and Tinner's Trailer. ISS Vanguard I've just received and will be playing soon). Of all the games you mentioned, my favourite would be Caverna - though I do personally prefer Agricola (and I don't know if I've ever been as addicted to a game as I was Gloomhaven in 2017). Great List guys! I think Mel wins this episode, for having more correct choices! 🤪 Some of the "correct" choices that you BOTH missed were: Scythe, Dwellings of Eldervale, Lords of Vegas, Res Arcana, and Nemesis.😁 Travis, if you like the idea of Memoir 44, but not so much the theme, check out BattleLore, which is the exact same system with a fantasy setting. I have both but prefer BattleLore.
