If you can afford it and you’re serious about playing an 8, get this one! If you’re unsure if you are really going down the 8 string path, I’d say stick with 7 or a baritone.

Hello. I am just like most that are thinking about a 7 string. I just turned 60???? A old metal head that never played a 7 string and I don't want to spend a lot cash on my first one just to find its not for me. However, from my experience, I don't want the low price (quality of parts) to hinder my first time experience with a 7 string for not spending more. I watched just about every video on this guitar and haven't commented on any video but yours. I am about to pull the trigger on a purchase. I have two questions. Are you finding yourself tuning the guitar more than playing it and Have you tried drop tuning the B string and how was the tuning holding up? Thanks.
@ChristianArnoldMusic
@ChristianArnoldMusic Жыл бұрын
Hi. Honestly I have so many hi quality guitars this one doesn’t get played much. Basically just keeping it around in case my kid ever wants to play a 7 string. If you can invest a little more, you’ll enjoy the feel of the instrument more, but if not, this one will at least help you decide if you like 7s. I usually do drop A and it works fine for that. Tuning is on par with a lot of hard tail guitars. I prefer locking trems because I like the bar and because the tuning is more stable.
@pro-pain40

@@ChristianArnoldMusic thanks for your reply. Sorta sounds like the guitar may be a waste of cash but spending more means more of a commitment on my part to learn and like the experience of a 7 string. Lol..... now i have something else to consider. Thanks again.

Someday I'll try an S series and see if I like that sleek body more. The Prestige level is definitely good enough fot anyone! The best part is clearly the neck.

@ChristianArnoldMusic Жыл бұрын
So far I’d say the AxeFXIII is still better in the sense that there are more effects and more twealability of those amps and effects, but the ease of use is better on the QC. Basically the QC is axefxiii level feel and sound quality but Helix ease of use, almost. Helix is still easier to use in my opinion.

I have a helix LT but I don’t know why after I tried Axe fx 2 I felt that the fractal had lot more dynamic response, transparency and a massive tone feel difference. @Christian Arnold What guitar amp are you using? I'm impressed with the tone! Are you using the Line 6 Spider V? If not, what guitar imulator are you using on the computer? And is that particular program free for windows 11? I'm a guitarist, and am interested in getting a similar guitar tone, whether it's using my new Line 6 Spider V60 MK II I'm in the process in buying soon. Or whether it's tweeking some parameters in future guitar plug-ins on my new Windows 11 laptop that I'll be getting soon! I never plyaed this guitar before. But I'd like to know, how's the tuning stability? If I get this guitar, I can't wait to play this while it's plugged into my line 6 amp! I'm a peavey guy, coming out of the peavey world since I'm selling my Vypyr VIP 2. Time to expore new tones as a guitarist for me! Keep it metal brother!
