I have a plate that looks very similar to the green plate. Mine is uranium glass and it glows under black light.

Can you use goo gone to get the mess off your pantry shelf? It may not work, but worth a try.

depression glass WAS hot back in the 70's and there is some renewed interest but not at the prices it once fetched...

Thank you so much for making this video. ❤ I'd love to convince my mom, and myself, to start decluttering our spaces. I love the way you showed how you touched every piece & made a decision. Awesome real life decluttering. Thank you ❤

If it’s expired i could probably eat it if its within a month or two. I don’t mess with bread though that stuff could get moldy fast. I don’t mess with dairy either. 😂

I don’t own a single oven mitt or pot holder. I just use a tea towel folded over a few times. I also no longer own doilies or tablecloths. What were doilies for anyway? And handkerchiefs. I can remember having cartoon character handkerchiefs as a child. Back in the day… and face washers for babies hands and bottoms, cloth nappies… nappy pails full of laundry sanitizer 😳

Eat black beans everyday. You can make them into a salad with some veggies & ex italian dressing taste pretty good. Or add to cooked items

Oatmeal for your cholesterol. Regular oatmeal, not the instant stuff. Apples are good also, as well as Brussel sprouts.

She should use the seaglass to make a mosaic like my neighbor. She came from Corpus Christi originally and has a big mosaic mural on the outside of her garage wall in her backyard. She used grout in between just like you'd do in a shower--it looks very professional.

Pantries are probably a reflection on the square footage of your house and the age of it. Putting parishables in plain sight would probably have them eaten before expiring. Kids never search.

Hi Catherine! I am watching a video from a year ago! I just wanted to say just call it a utility drawer! I have always had one and called it a junk drawer..lol. but maybe utility drawer sounds better to people, I don't know, people complain about the dumbest things! Haha!

You have a great talent and it's very sweet that you can help your parents. Did you find it easier cleaning other people's stuff out?
@grinchy56Күн бұрын
You did quite a lot of work there and have a beautiful home. Maybe teach the kids to clean up at a certain time before bed and set a timer. That seems like way too much for one mom to clean up, especially toys. You inspire me to get my own surfaces and drawers/cabinets under control. Maybe put odd cords into a basket. I worry about unknown cords too--hard to throw out. Good job!!!

Now in my 70's n living in a tiny home, I am over all the stuff. I agree throwing out is my ultimate goal. Anymore donating to thrift store, if they are willing to pick it up, in some cases yes. But thrift places are looking like junk stores. The way you are going through as you tidy up is a good option as well. Thanks.

Food poisoning is no joke. I got it once from a take away. So incredibly sick! Sorry for the TMI but it was clear liquid in and clear liquid out. For the sake of a few dollars, it’s not worth the risk. Chances are you didn’t use it up before it expired because you rarely use it anyway so it will just sit there and get thrown out eventually anyway. Try to buy a smaller size next time or only buy it if you have a few things you plan to use it in or on. Things like tomato paste can be frozen in IceCube trays then placed in a ziplock bag to be added to cooking later.

Hi new to your channel ❤ Southeastern Indiana is where my Cowboy and I live, your pantry is not big, but its very usable ❤ my Cowboy built our Pantry from a closet we didn't use in our attached garage with plywood sheets 3/4 inch thick, i canned our garden vegetables and paper towels and TP storage.

A tip for putting items on a lazy susan...place items so the labels face outward so that when you turn it to get an item you can see the label. This is helpful when you have items similar in size and shape.

I would put a date on that icepack holder, if you don’t use it in like a year then get rid of it. I do this with my clothes, if I don’t use them in a year they can go. Maybe not if it’s formal wear or something really special.
